The document discusses the genesis and purpose of an Innovation Management Standard. It was created in response to societal and technological changes and aims to promote sustainability and excellence in planning, execution, and deployment. The standard provides a management toolset for training, assessments, audits, and consulting on innovation management. It establishes a maturity model to prevent ad-hoc activity and make innovation a requirement across an organization's entire value chain. Adopting the standard is a growth process, not an end goal, and success requires continually realigning with stakeholders, strategy, and monitoring progress.
1) The music video tells a narrative story through shots filmed in and around Manchester, UK. It follows a young female character and her relationship with her boyfriend.
2) In the beginning, their relationship seems happy when out with friends, but shots become more disjointed and intimate, revealing the emotional and physical abuse the female character suffers in private.
3) By the end, close-up shots show the bruises and tears on the female character, revealing the true nature of her relationship and the domestic violence she endures from her boyfriend.
Estelle Naughton used Adobe Photoshop to manipulate images for her CD digipak and poster to create a consistent style across her ancillary materials and music video. She took a photo of two characters holding hands and cropped it for the digipak cover. In Photoshop, she adjusted brightness, contrast, and color levels and added text to the digipak cover. For the poster, she blurred the same holding hands photo as a background and overlaid the digipak cover for consistency. Through these image manipulations, she created synergy between her materials to convey the relationship theme of her music video to audiences.
Estelle Naughton conducted market research to gain feedback on her music video. She created a private Facebook group and asked 4 people in her target audience 5 questions about the strengths, weaknesses, narrative, genre, and whether performance elements should be added. She received feedback that the transitions, tempo enhancement, iconography, black and white style, and effortless demeanour were strong points, but the continuity of black and white made distinguishing emotions difficult and establishing shots could be smoother. The narrative was deemed easy to follow and black and white was effective at conveying the genre, though it caused some confusion between happy and sad shots.
This document outlines the production diary and progress plan for a group of 4 students working on a music video project over several months. It details the weekly tasks completed such as researching genres, choosing a song, storyboarding ideas, filming test footage and the main video, and editing drafts. It also lists contingency plans like scheduling additional filming if needed to complete the project on time. The overall plan is to finish editing the final video, related promotional materials, and complete evaluations responding to feedback by the deadlines.
The music video script describes scenes from a video for the song "So Far (It's Alright)" that tell a story. It includes shots of a female character in Manchester with friends and ice skating with her boyfriend initially. Later scenes show her crying with bruises revealed, implying an abusive relationship. The final scenes show her alone looking in a mirror at her bruises. Overall it depicts a woman's experience with an initially happy but later abusive relationship through a series of shots set to the song.
The combination of the student's main music video product and ancillary texts like a CD digipack and poster are effective.
All the products aim to portray the same narrative and genre. Black and white is used consistently to represent the indie genre. Imagery and camera shots are also reused across products.
The digipack hints at the music video's narrative by showing bruises. The poster continues the black and white theme but adds blurred color to the background, hinting that not all is as it seems and referencing the abusive relationship theme.
Technical elements like shots are also mirrored between the products, with close-ups used prominently. There is a clear synergy and relationship between the products that
The music video challenges conventions of the genre in several ways:
1) It includes titles at the end rather than the beginning and concludes with a choreographed title sequence.
2) It has no single setting but rather takes place in various locations around Manchester.
3) It aims for realism by not establishing specific costumes and using casual, everyday clothing to represent the characters.
4) It was filmed with a handheld HD video camera rather than professional equipment in order to seem less static.
Estelle Naughton edited a music video in Adobe Premier, which she was new to using. She imported clips into the timeline to build the narrative. Throughout the editing process, she used tools like the razor tool to cut and rearrange clips to correspond with the song. A consistent piece of editing was applying a black and white effect to indicate the genre. She also used effects like slow motion and speed changes to add depth and diversity corresponding to the tempo of the song. Credits were included at the end as still titles to represent the narrative within the beats of the song.

One of the team members emailed The 1975's manager with help from the others to request permission to use footage from a Manchester gig in their music video. They searched the band's website to find the manager's contact information and composed an email explaining that their video is for one of The 1975's songs and includes footage from the gig. They sent the email on January 19th, 2015 but have not received a response, though no response also indicates they properly requested permission due to copyright concerns.
The document summarizes the results of a survey about music preferences and music video viewing habits. Some key findings:
- The majority of respondents were female aged 16-25 who listen mostly to pop music.
- All respondents watch music videos, with 85% watching regularly and 15% occasionally.
- Favorite music videos listed were mostly mainstream pop artists like Take That.
- Respondents preferred narrative and performance-style music videos over conceptual.
- YouTube was the most popular way to watch music videos, followed by TV music channels.
- Twitter was the most used social media, but not for watching videos due to buffering or scams. Word of mouth was the most common way to share music videos.
The proposed music video will tell the story of a girl dealing with a broken heart after losing her boyfriend to drugs. It will be shot in black and white to emphasize her pain. The video will include flashbacks to happier times with her boyfriend through photos and memories to show their deteriorating relationship over time as drug use increased. In the present, she will be alone in her bedroom crying while looking at track marks on her arms in the mirror, contemplating her life choices. The flashbacks will take the viewer around iconic locations in Manchester to depict their bond deteriorating as their relationship became defined by drugs.
This poster advertises Olly Murs' new album. The color scheme of burgundy text and braces matching the album title establish the poster's iconography. Olly is the sole character, appearing relaxed to indicate his natural musical talent. The studio setting features high key lighting on Olly against a blue sky background, suggesting his career is ascending. Technical elements include consistent colors and informal text styles to catch viewers' attention. Placement of Olly's image and name follow design principles to maximize recognition of the artist and his new album.
The poster analyzes various design elements used to promote a band's new album. It discusses the use of night vision effects on the CD cover to obscure the true meaning of the song. The band's name is prominently displayed in the center of the poster according to the Guttenberg principle. An iconic eagle outline represents the band's American roots and qualities of masculinity, freedom, skill, vision, and power. The poster is well-balanced with symmetrical text and a divided CD cover image in different sections and colors.
The document analyzes George Ezra's music video for the song "Budapest" using genre theorist Lacey's framework of elements. It discusses two versions of the music video - an official narrative video and a simpler alternative. Both feature George Ezra playing guitar and portray him as the main character and focus. The analysis covers characters, narrative, iconography, setting, and technical elements of the videos based on Lacey's repertoire.
The document provides an analysis of the music video for "I'm Not the Only One" by Sam Smith according to genre theorist Lacey's framework of elements. It examines the characters, narrative, iconography, setting, and audio/technical elements. The main characters are the wife, husband, and other woman. The wife is depicted in a 1950s style and discovers her husband's infidelity. Scenes alternate between the happy family home and dark bar where the husband cheats. Elements like clothing, cars, and gender roles reference 1950s culture and society.
The front cover image depicts Alicia Keys being partially obscured by a piano, indicating she has secrets expressed through her music. Her makeup and style connect to the piano keys and background, showing how she leaves her mark. The back cover shows a piano missing its top, suggesting her music has depth not initially apparent. Both covers reference Keys' focus on the piano and raw talent over superficial qualities.
Lana del Rey's album cover for "Born to Die" features only her image, giving her a powerful and stern presence. Her classic yet simple style suggests she is an indie artist rather than a typical pop star. The vintage car in the background and her retro-inspired appearance establish her distinct aesthetic. The blue sky setting continues the album's color scheme and could represent the destiny of the working class. Overall, the cover presents Lana del Rey as a unique artist who blends vintage and modern influences.
The document analyzes and summarizes the cover art, layout, and symbolism of the Bastille album "Bad Blood". Some key points:
- The front cover features the lead singer running away at night, suggesting he is trying to avoid fame or the mainstream music industry.
- Iconic elements on the cover include the lead singer's distinctive hair and the use of a triangle symbol in place of the letter "A", which represents both the band and indie music genre.
- The nighttime setting on an empty road could indicate the unknown direction of the band's career or that they focus on their music over visuals.
- Technical elements like fonts, lighting effects, and color contrasts are used
The document analyzes the album cover and packaging of Lana Del Rey's "Born to Die" album through the lenses of narrative, setting, technical codes, and iconography. It notes that the album cover features only Lana Del Rey with a vintage, classy appearance. The setting is plain to draw attention to Lana and a vintage car in the background. Technical elements include large bold text and primary colors of red, white, and blue evoking the American flag. Iconography includes roses representing love and the vintage style connecting to Lana's genre blending modern pop with retro influences.
The CD cover features the lead singer running away from the camera's headlights at night, suggesting he is running from fame. By running away, the band seems to want to avoid the mainstream while still having chart success. The blurred shoes show movement and imply the band is less polished than others.
The country road setting under the headlights could represent the band focusing on their music rather than image. The nighttime shooting adds a sense of uncertainty about where their career may go.
Iconic elements are used, like the lead singer's hairstyle identifying him and the triangle replacing the "A" symbolizing the band's indie genre. Technical aspects unify the design with a black and white color scheme, informal
LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems
