- 1. Estelle Naughton Contacting The 1975 One of my team members emailed the manager of The 1975 with the help of all members, asking for permission to use footage which was captured when 3 of the 4 members went to the Manchester gig. We all were involved with this, as we searched for the website of The 1975, to find a way to contact their manager, once we found a contact address, we composed the email above. We mentioned how our music video is a song of The 1975 and some footage was filmed whilst at the gig, including the song we are constructing a music video for. The email was sent on the 19th of January 2015, we haven’t heard anything back since. However, this isn’t a negative as it indicates how we went about asking to us the footage and hopefully being able to use the footage in the right way, as we have asked permission due to copyright reasons. Hopefully, we are able to use the footage and play the studio version of the footage; if we are able to include the footage of the band performing it would mean that we would have all 3 styles of music videos.
