Biography
Dr. Tarek Korayem is an entrepreneur with amazing quantitative and analytical skills. He
was the founder of Logistics for Healthcare Improvement “LHI” in 2007, a leading
organization in providing quality of excellence consultations to quality oriented
organizations as well as providing exquisite solutions for individual development, training
and education. Dr. Tarek led LHI from its inception stage till formalization with remarkable
increase in its market share and EBITDA annual rate since its foundation.
Dr. Tarek transformational leadership style directed LHI towards a vigorous vision to be
the leading reference for quality of excellence in the MENA region through strategic
affiliations with highly established organizations providing innovation initiatives like the
Institute for Healthcare Improvement “IHI” and solid postgraduate development
programs like The American University in Cairo (AUC).
In addition to that, Dr. Tarek managed to summon a superb technical team of healthcare
quality, Infection control and management consultants following a unique model
developed by LHI to not only provide exceptional supporting consultations but also to
help local leaders alter their work environment culture to a responsive one that can easily
cope with both internal & external environmental uncertainties.

Through the consultation division of LHI, Dr. Tarek assisted many healthcare organizations
to coordinate their accreditation projects, plan for quality initiatives, designs
performance improvement projects, and deliver extensive training programs for their
different staff categories.
Before starting LHI, Dr. Tarek worked as the quality director of Al-Rafie Hospital in
Makkah-KSA, facilitating its accreditation by Makkah Region Quality Program (MRQP). He
also worked for 10 years as Medical Director for Al-Rafie Hospital, He Participated in
Establishment of Medical Staff policies and procedures, Strategic plan and Medical Staff
By-Laws, and currently He still serves as a board member for Al-Rafie Hospital.
Dr. Tarek is a physician (MD) with Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynecology also he is certified
as Healthcare Quality Professional (CPHQ) by the National Association for Healthcare
Quality (NAHQ), USA, and a diploma in Total Quality Management (DTQM) from the
American University in Cairo.

o CEO & Founder of Logistics for Healthcare (LHI), leading LHI to achieve the
following:
o Was entitled by the Egyptian minister of health as the quality consultant
team of the minister and the responsible of the executive committee for
healthcare accreditation for Egypt during 2006-2012
o Was the advisory body of the ministerial executive committee for health
reform from 2006-2011; The committee was responsible for setting the
health reform plan for Egypt with the help of Mckinsy Company.
