CAREER SUMMERY

King Faisal Specialist hospital and Research center (KFSHRC), Riyadh, Saudi
Arabia
KFSHRC is a state of the art, JCIA accredited, 1000 beds teaching institute and a
referral centre for all complicated surgical cases across the kingdom. It is also
considered as a major transplant center for Kidney, Liver, Heart and Lung
transplants. It has a total staff of> 6,900, comprising 63 different nationalities.
It comprises 25 main operating suites plus other remote ones for radiology,
dental, dermatology and radiotherapy.
At KFSHRC, I had an Extensive exposure to different anesthetic challenges at all
levels of professional career. Anesthetic coverage is mainly for the extremely
complex sick patients referred to our centre from all over the kingdom.
o Pediatric Experience:
At KFSHRC, Pediatric cases constitute around 30% of the overall number of
cases. We do all the challenging Pediatric cases that are mostly referred
from all over the kingdom including pediatric airway problems, transplants,
scoliosis surgeries, craniotomies.... etc
Being a major liver transplant centre, I am a member of the pediatric liver
transplant team where we do around an average of 50 pediatric liver
transplants /year.
