This document summarizes a seminar on guiding start-ups in the water application industry through technology transfer between the EU and Israel with an emphasis on clean tech. It identifies seven industrial sectors that are water intensive like pharmaceutics, mining, oil and gas, food and beverage, tourism, and microelectronics. It outlines the methodology of analyzing global industrial sectors and their processes, as well as long term challenges. The goal is to enable industry growth through innovation in water treatment and new markets. Start-ups can bridge the gap between innovation and industrial applications with knowledge from academia and by addressing challenges and customer needs.
