This document analyzes the design of two double page spreads from a magazine. For the first spread, the title uses direct address to engage readers and pink in the font appeals to females. A large aerial image of a band dominates both pages to make the article more visually interesting. Small text is used so the image remains the main focus. For the second spread, multiple smaller images of ravers are collaged together across the pages instead of one large image. This provides evidence to make the article seem truthful. In both spreads, the images are prioritized over small text to better engage younger readers who may not want to read much text.
