This document introduces the concept of nudging, which refers to subtly changing people's choices in order to influence their behavior. It discusses why nudging is needed to address problems like obesity and the "tyranny of choice." The EAST model is presented as a framework for effective nudging, focusing on making options easy, attractive, social, and timely. Finally, the document outlines four types of nudges - mindful, mindless, encouraging, and discouraging - and provides examples of each.

Management, marketing and digital disruption 2019Dirk Laverge
Digital disruption is causing many industries to change as new technologies and business models emerge. Key drivers include the speed of technological innovation, cost pressures, sharing economies, and changing customer preferences. Organizations must transform their leadership, culture, and operations to respond effectively by focusing on superior customer experiences, agility, and offensive strategies like cannibalizing their own business models. The only certainty is uncertainty, so companies must balance traditional strengths with innovative approaches to ensure long term survival and success in a constantly changing environment.
This document provides tips for pitching professionally in 3 parts: beginning, middle, and end. It recommends catching the audience's attention at the beginning, repeating the core message in the middle, and closing powerfully by summarizing key points. Specific tips include introducing yourself, stating the structure upfront, keeping to the plan, and taking breaks every 60 minutes. It also covers formulating the message clearly, using body language like smiling and making eye contact, and designing visuals like images to support the content. Proper preparation is emphasized, such as checking equipment and arriving early.
