The contents are researched from self experiences and
family/friends feedback on how the technology shall help
the common person in providing Doctor-Patient Digital
Connect.
• Patients have multiple sets of health records viz., Doctors’ Notes,
Prescriptions, Investigations (Historic Test Reports), treatments
taken, Vaccinations and Insurances
• Health records are mostly paper based and therefore are vulnerable
for misplacement or are often lost.
• When the patient is travelling, it is difficult to carry entire medical
history along.
• Patients needs to carry the documents and at times need to explain
Doctors on what medicines they are consuming, which is not
feasible at all time.
• In times of emergencies, availability of patient information is critical,
particularly, when patient is not able to answer
Introduction
 Complete health profile of the patient is not available and more
often it is reconstructed each time the patient visits the doctor.
 Hospitals maintaining the Electronic Health Records will have the
data related to specific visits by the patients but will not have
comprehensive patient information.
 Health data is diffused in several papers and is not organized to
make it amenable for scientific and systematic analysis to help the
patients and doctors for proper diagnosis and to identify Key Risk
Indicators (KRIs) to save lives by predictive analytics.
 There is no mechanism to synergize various participants (Patients,
Doctors, Diagnostic centers, pharmacies, health insurance
providers) to optimize the benefits.

 Language barrier to communicate shall be addressed
effectively through technology

  • 3. DISCLAIMER The contents are researched from self experiences and family/friends feedback on how the technology shall help the common person in providing Doctor-Patient Digital Connect.
  • 4. • Patients have multiple sets of health records viz., Doctors’ Notes, Prescriptions, Investigations (Historic Test Reports), treatments taken, Vaccinations and Insurances • Health records are mostly paper based and therefore are vulnerable for misplacement or are often lost. • When the patient is travelling, it is difficult to carry entire medical history along. • Patients needs to carry the documents and at times need to explain Doctors on what medicines they are consuming, which is not feasible at all time. • In times of emergencies, availability of patient information is critical, particularly, when patient is not able to answer Introduction
  • 5.  Complete health profile of the patient is not available and more often it is reconstructed each time the patient visits the doctor.  Hospitals maintaining the Electronic Health Records will have the data related to specific visits by the patients but will not have comprehensive patient information.  Health data is diffused in several papers and is not organized to make it amenable for scientific and systematic analysis to help the patients and doctors for proper diagnosis and to identify Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to save lives by predictive analytics.  There is no mechanism to synergize various participants (Patients, Doctors, Diagnostic centers, pharmacies, health insurance providers) to optimize the benefits.
