Sakra World Hospital is a 350-bed multi-specialty hospital in Bangalore, India that was established through a partnership between Japanese companies SECOM Medical System and Toyota Tsusho. The hospital aims to provide world-class medical care combining Indian and Japanese practices. It has six centers of excellence and collaborates clinically with Japanese hospitals like Hokkaido University. The hospital also trains its staff in Japanese practices like Kaizen and the 5S methodology to improve processes. Its long term strategy is to develop an integrated healthcare system in India including tertiary hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and family health centers based on the Japanese model.
