Introduction
• Autopilot enables your car to steer, accelerate and brake automatically
within its lane.
• Current Autopilot features require active driver supervision and do not
make the vehicle autonomous.
Reason behind the project
• Automation can help reduce the number of crashes on our roads.
• Government data identifies driver behavior or error as a factor in 94
percent of crashes.
• Self-driving vehicles can help reduce driver error.
Components
• Controller - ESP32
• Relay module
• Servo motor
• RFID module
• Motor, wheel, Clamp
• Battery - 12vDC
• Others
ESP32 (wroom32)
• ESP32 can perform as a complete standalone system or as a slave
device to a host MCU, reducing communication stack overhead on the
main application processor.
Relay module
• A power relay module is an electrical switch that is operated by an
electromagnet. The electromagnet is activated by a separate low-power
signal from a micro controller. When activated, the electromagnet pulls to
either open or close an electrical circuit.
Servo motor
• Servo motors or “servos”, as they are known, are electronic devices and
rotary or linear actuators that rotate and push parts of a machine with
precision.
RFID Module
• An RFID or radio frequency identification system consists of two main
components, a tag attached to the object to be identified, and a reader
that reads the tag. A reader consists of a radio frequency module
Advantages
