This document discusses biblical teachings on oaths and promises. It defines an oath as a promise appealing to God to avenge failure to keep it. The 3rd Commandment forbids using God's name falsely or to confirm a lie. Jesus taught that all unnecessary oaths beyond simple "yes" or "no" come from evil. The Bible commands swearing by God's name in worship and provides examples of God and Christ swearing. Lawful oaths must appeal only to God, be necessary, true, and kept regardless of circumstances. Breaking an oath violates Scripture unless the oath is sinful, impossible, or required by unlawful authority.
The document discusses living a selfless life focused on God rather than material possessions. It argues that one should yield completely to Jesus, love God and others unconditionally, and be thankful in all things. Living selflessly means focusing less on oneself and more on freely giving to others, as Jesus did the ultimate act of selflessness in sacrificing himself on the cross to save humanity from sin. The key is striving to manifest the fruit of the spirit - love, joy, peace and more - in one's life through renewing the mind with God's word.
This document addresses 7 questions about salvation and the afterlife: 1) Does hell exist? 2) Who goes to hell? 3) Is Jesus the only way to heaven? 4) Can good works earn salvation? 5) Can one believe in Jesus and do whatever they want? 6) What about those who never heard of Jesus? 7) What must one do to be saved? It answers these questions using quotes from the Bible to support the view that hell is real, salvation comes only through faith in Jesus, good works do not earn salvation, and one must repent of their sins and believe in Jesus to be saved.

Is eternal existence possible? Here are four reasons why it is not only possible, not only probable, but guaranteed:
1. God's love desires it - He loves us and wants to be with us forever!
2. The power of God can give it - He who created us has the power to give us eternal life!
3. The justice of God demands it - Both the saved and the lost will have eternal existence. The choice of where we spend eternity is ours to make.
4. The faithfulness of god will make it happen - God has not failed to make good on one promise! If He promised eternal life (and He did) then He will make it happen!
This passage from Ephesians and Psalms discusses God's blessings and redemption through Jesus Christ. It declares that God chose believers before creation to be holy and accepted through Christ. It praises God for forgiving sins, healing illness, redeeming from destruction, and crowning with kindness. Finally, it says blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and who God has chosen as His inheritance.
The document summarizes the biblical story of the Pharisee and the tax collector praying in the temple. It describes how the Pharisee boasted of his righteousness and good deeds while the tax collector humbly asked God for mercy. The main point is that those who exalt themselves will be humbled, while those who humble themselves will be exalted, and that salvation comes through faith in Jesus, not through good works or self-righteousness.
The document discusses loving one another as commanded by Jesus. It says to remain in God's love by obeying his commands, and that true love comes from God. Christians are called to freedom through faith in Christ, not religious bondage or trying to earn favor through works. True freedom means serving others in love.

It states that we cannot earn salvation through good works, but rather are declared not guilty through faith in Jesus Christ. It says that Jesus is the only way to God and the only one who knows the way home. The document encourages readers to repent of their sins, receive Jesus, and yield their life to his leadership in order to receive salvation, which is represented as an incredible gift that can be received or rejected. It provides a prayer to accept Jesus and for him to take control of one's life.

It says believers have been saved by God's grace through faith in Christ, not by works, and have been made new creations with him in heaven. Salvation is a gift from God, not something earned by good deeds or works.
The document discusses why modern Christianity has declined in confidence in God during times of suffering. It suggests that instead of truly honoring God, Christians try to manage God into something comfortable and understand problems more than finding Christ in them. It warns that God will act like a lion against those who turn to other things instead of earnestly seeking Him during times of testing.
The document summarizes Ephesians 2:1-10 which discusses how:
1) Humans were originally dead in sin and disobedience but God intervened through Jesus Christ.
2) Believers have been raised with Christ and seated in heavenly realms through God's grace alone, not works.
3) Salvation is a gift from God not based on human effort or works, so no one can boast. Believers are God's masterpiece created for good works.

Sermon Slide Deck: "Deliver Us From Evil" (Matthew 6:5-13)New City Church
This document discusses the Lord's Prayer and how it relates to deliverance from evil. It notes that Jesus wants to eliminate not just genocide but also personal anger and rage from within. While people may see themselves as helping solve world problems, the real issue is addressing the evil and problems within oneself, as we are all capable of anger and vindictiveness. The cross of Jesus shows that God understands and cares deeply about human suffering, being willing to experience it himself in order to rescue humanity from sin and evil.
The document discusses the themes of worship, risk, and obedience. It references biblical stories of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refusing to worship an idol and facing risk, as well as passages about becoming like what you worship. The document argues that while the enemy's tactics remain the same, using deception to get people to deny God, Christians should continue worshipping only God and honoring authority, even at risk to themselves.
If I am converted from a life of sin and darkness to a life in Christ, what is the evidence. In part two of this series we look at the final five evidences that we are truly converted and committed to being a disciple of Jesus.
Christians are considered strange because they believe things that seem unbelievable like the virgin birth and resurrection. They are also able to do things that seem impossible like attain righteousness and sinless perfection through faith. Christians can know unknowable things that are only revealed by God, and they can see the invisible like eternal glory. While the world views Christians as peculiar, believers are invited to embrace being a strange Christian by obeying Christ.
Our last "Re-routing" toward eternal joy is failure. Though failure has an awful sting to it, it is most painfully true for men, as Genesis 3 tells us. Frustration, futility, and failure are meant to drive men to God, not just in a generic way, but specifically, to discover a joy they would never experience apart from the awful road of failure.
One who is poor in spirit realizes that they have nothing, they are nothing, except what God gives them and makes them. Jesus demonstrates being poor in spirit to us when he left heaven and came to earth.
Matthew 5:3
Psalm 103:1-5 calls the reader to bless God for his benefits, including forgiveness of sins, healing from diseases, redemption from destruction, blessing with kindness and mercy, and renewal. Ephesians 1:3-6 also praises God for blessing believers with spiritual blessings in Christ, including choosing them before creation to be holy, predestining them to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, and making them accepted in God's beloved son according to God's good pleasure and will.

The document discusses Islamic rules regarding divorce based on passages from the Quran. It states that a Muslim husband cannot instantly divorce his wife by simply saying "I want a divorce" three times, as there must be a waiting period. The Quran mandates a four month waiting period if the couple wishes to reconcile, and an arbitration process if they fear separation. Even after the waiting period is fulfilled, divorce should be handled equitably with witnesses before finalizing.

Lesson 7 what you need to know about encounter 00Elmer Dela Pena
The document discusses the importance of an encounter retreat, noting that (1) God will impart life to participants over 3 days, (2) attendees must have an open heart and lay aside prejudices, and (3) the encounter allows a complete transformation by the Holy Spirit. It provides biblical examples of encounters, including the Israelites leaving Egypt and Paul's conversion, and explains that the encounter will provide vision, conversion, understanding of leaving Satan's control for God's lordship, forgiveness of sins, and understanding one's privilege in God.
The Scribes and Pharisees relaxed the command to not murder by diminishing the judgment involved; but Jesus teaches us about true righteousness that we are not to devalue our fellow man and we should reconcile quickly when there are issues between us. Ultimately, Jesus is reminding us that God is life, and we must value life to be like Him.
This document provides an overview and discussion questions for a lesson on the New Testament book of 2 Thessalonians. It summarizes the key themes and messages of the book, including that Paul wrote to counter a false claim that the second coming had already occurred, to encourage the believers, and to highlight signs of the end times including the rise of an antichrist figure. It also discusses how obeying God leads to empowerment, productivity, and grace to glorify Christ, while rejecting God leads to delusion.
This sermon discusses how focusing on the negative can damage relationships and encourages focusing on the positive instead. It addresses not focusing on the negative with children, spouses, neighbors, country, church, and God. Key relationships like family, marriage, and our relationship with God can be harmed by judging and complaining about others. Instead, we should have love for one another, forgive each other, and not judge others in the same way we do not want to be judged.
This document is a memorial for Rosann Marie Wolf who passed away on July 7th, 2012. It includes her birth and death dates, several bible verses that were meaningful to her, and a description of her as a mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to Jesus. She is remembered as someone who is missed, loved, and never forgotten.
The document discusses Paul's use of metaphors in 2 Corinthians to describe Christians, including being part of God's triumphal procession, spreading the fragrance of Christ, being a letter from Christ, and being mirrors that reflect God's glory. It focuses on 2 Corinthians 3:18, explaining that Christians are called to reflect God's glory through their lives and be transformed by the Holy Spirit into Christ's image to better reflect Him.
This short poem reflects on changing one's heart and yielding to God's will and timing. It questions whether there is more to come from God and encourages waiting for his answers while being grateful and humble as he transforms people into what he intends.

Moses was tending sheep in the wilderness when he saw a burning bush that was not consumed. God called out to Moses from the bush and told him to take off his sandals as he was standing on holy ground. God revealed himself as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God told Moses he had seen the suffering of the Israelites in Egypt and wanted Moses to go to Pharaoh and demand that he let the Israelites go. Moses questioned who he was to do this, but God assured him that he would be with Moses and perform wonders through him to convince Pharaoh. God told Moses his name was "I AM" and that he would bring plagues upon Egypt if Pharaoh refused to release the

The document discusses what Christians should do while living on earth based on several Bible passages. It suggests that Christians should build up treasures in heaven by living righteously and doing good works, as believers will be judged for their deeds and rewarded or suffer loss. Christians are encouraged to please God, whether living in their earthly body or with Him after death, and to shine their light through good works so others glorify God. They should love both neighbors and enemies as a way to be perfect as God is perfect. The overall message is that Christians' time on earth should be spent serving God and others.
This document discusses God as a father who searches for his lost children. It references several parables told by Jesus about a shepherd searching for a lost sheep, a woman searching for a lost coin, and a father welcoming home his lost son. The document emphasizes that God invites, looks, searches, and waits for those who are lost, whether inside or outside the church, and there is rejoicing in heaven when even one sinner repents. It notes that humans are created in God's image and can become lost, and explores how one would search for a lost coin, as God searches for the lost.
Sermon 9 of 26 in a series on Old Testament Vistas. This one is on Exodus 25-34. It was presented December 12, 2010, at Palm Desert Church of Christ, by Dale Wells.
This document discusses holiness in the New Testament through four examples: as an event, process, state or condition, and quality. It explores biblical passages about believers being made holy by Christ and calls Christians to present their bodies as living sacrifices. The document contrasts seeing things imperfectly now with perfect clarity later, and says Scripture equips believers while abiding in Christ enables doing God's will, though nothing can be done without Him as He forms Christ in believers.
The document discusses evidence for the existence of God and the creation of the universe. It provides several arguments including cause and effect, design in creation requiring a designer, fine-tuning of physical constants, and complexity of life being improbable by chance alone. Evidence from various scientific fields such as physics, astronomy, biochemistry, and information theory is presented. The document argues that science points to an intelligent creator and that the existence of God can be known from observing his creation.

This document provides a summary of the biblical book of Numbers. It discusses how after escaping Egypt, the Israelites traveled through the wilderness toward the Promised Land. They camped at Mount Sinai and Kadesh. When 12 spies were sent to scout the land, 10 of them doubted they could take the land despite God's help. The Israelites complained and were punished multiple times during their journey. Miriam was also punished for speaking against Moses. The document analyzes themes and events throughout Numbers to help understand the journey of the Israelites.

When King Hezekiah took the throne, he renewed Judah's commitment to God by repairing the temple and calling on the people to consecrate themselves. During a later crisis when the Assyrians invaded, Hezekiah sent letters urging the people to return to God. He also strengthened defenses and encouraged the people, reminding them that God is more powerful than Assyria. God then delivered a miraculous victory, killing 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. However, later Hezekiah pridefully showed off his riches to Babylonian envoys, incurring God's wrath.

The document discusses God's relationship with Israel from Isaiah 54:6-10. It describes how God was briefly angry with Israel for their unfaithfulness but will have everlasting compassion. God compares his relationship with Israel to his promise to Noah that he would never flood the earth again. Just as Noah found favor with God and was protected in the ark, God offers protection and peace to Israel through his covenant and compassion.

The document discusses the dangers of worshipping false idols like the Golden Calf instead of worshipping God. It describes how worshipping idols can lead to spiritual death, confusion, loss of identity and purpose, and empty, repetitive worship. It then presents a song about returning to truly worshipping from the heart, with the understanding that God desires more than just songs - He wants people's whole hearts. The song expresses focusing worship solely on Jesus rather than other things that distract from truly worshipping Him.
In this talk, we present an overview of some key focus areas in our journey as a local church and some directions on what we plan to do and emphasize in 2017.

It's easy to criticize the Israelites for worshipping the golden calf while Moses was on the mountain. But what about our Golden Calves? Those things we return too when the going gets tough; those things that make the flesh feel comfortable.
The document summarizes a passage from Numbers 11:1-6 where the Israelites complained to Moses about their hardships in the desert, including craving meat and the foods they ate in Egypt. This dissatisfaction with manna, the food God provided, angered God and caused him to send fire that burned among the people. The document then asks how God may be inviting the reader to receive what he provides in life, like the Israelites received manna in the desert.

God created Eve from Adam's rib to be his suitable helper. When presented to Adam, he recognized Eve as coming from his own body and being bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. God then told Eve that bearing children would be painful and that her desire would be for her husband, who would rule over her. Later, Scripture says that in Christ there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile, slave and free, or male and female, and all are heirs according to God's promise.
This is a series of lessons taught by Brian Birdow on how not to get a divorce. All sermons are available free for download at www.cmcoc.org and itunes. Divorce is painful and destroys the family and we should be doing everything possible to stay married. In this lesson we cover the permanency of marriage and show how it is of GOD.
The document discusses Jesus' teachings on lust, immorality, and divorce. It addresses how desire turns to sin if not kept in check, and how to "disassociate" from sinful circumstances through figuratively "cutting off" offending parts. Jesus forbids divorce except in cases of adultery or pre-marital fornication, establishing marriage as a lifelong commitment. For those unable to receive this teaching, dedicating oneself to celibacy for the sake of the Kingdom is recommended.
1) Marriage is meant to picture Christ's relationship with the church.
2) In the Bible, divorce breaks this picture, except in cases of adultery, where the marriage no longer depicts Christ and the church.
3) Paul provides guidance for Christians regarding marriage, divorce, and remarriage. He instructs that it is better to remain single if possible, but if married, spouses should not separate except in cases of adultery or an unbelieving spouse initiating divorce. Remarriage is acceptable in these cases.
This document discusses biblical views on divorce and remarriage. It presents the following key points:
- Marriage is a covenant that can be broken through intentional and continuous breaking of promises. The wronged party can end the covenant if it is broken beyond repair.
- God divorced Israel as an example, acknowledging the covenant was already broken by Israel's adultery, not by God. Divorce is acceptable when one party breaks the covenant.
- Jesus allowed for divorce in cases of adultery. Paul added divorce is allowed if an unbelieving spouse abandons the believer.
- In Jesus' time, Jewish views ranged from only allowing divorce for abuse/abandonment to allowing it for any reason
Divorce was uncommon in India historically but has been increasing in recent years. The main causes of divorce include infidelity, growing apart, personality clashes, lack of communication, addiction issues, and domestic violence. Divorce can negatively impact children physically, emotionally, and socially according to research. Jesus taught that divorce should only occur in cases of adultery, in contrast to the more lenient views of the Pharisees at the time who allowed divorce for various minor reasons.
What Jesus said about divorce. He actually taught about God's perfect plan for man and woman. They would live together as one. But how do we live out God's perfect plan in an imperfect world with imperfect people
The document discusses Jesus' teachings on lust, immorality, and divorce from the New Testament. It addresses His statements that lustful looking is akin to adultery, and advises disassociating from tempting situations even if metaphorically "cutting off" body parts. Jesus affirms the permanence of marriage, only allowing divorce for adultery. He notes that not all can live as celibate "eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven," and dedication is required for that lifestyle choice. The presentation provides context and interpretation for Jesus' challenging words on sexual purity and marriage.
An expository sermon on what Jesus and the Bible teaches about divorce. Main text is in Mathew 5:31 and 32. This is a continuation of the sermon on the mount series
This document discusses God's design for marriage according to the Bible. It says marriage is meant to reflect the relationship between Christ and the church. The Bible indicates men and women were created as equals to have intimacy and significance through their relationship. However, sin introduced brokenness in relationships through control, passivity, disrespect and unlove. The document provides guidance for husbands to love their wives as Christ loves the church, and for wives to respect their husbands. It encourages men to be providers and women to be helpers to their husbands.
Ushering in the Kingdom of God 120223 Bangsar LC.pptxJohn Cheah, CAMS
Jesus lets us know what is the requirement in His Kingdom... many steps above the basic laws. Not enough for us just to skirt the edges of the law, but to rise up way above, to show the world how the Kingdom of God is like
This document outlines Jesus' teachings from Matthew chapters 4 through 7. It begins by stating Jesus' message that people should repent because the Kingdom of Heaven is near. It then contrasts the old view of righteousness, which focused on actions, versus the new view Jesus teaches, which focuses more on character and intentions. The rest of the document summarizes some of Jesus' key teachings on various topics like divorce, oaths, turning the other cheek, loving enemies, and calls to perfection. It provides context and commentary on understanding some of Jesus' intended meanings.
1) The document discusses biblical passages related to marriage, divorce, and remarriage. It examines 8 steps outlined in 1 Corinthians 7 and reasons for remarriage according to scripture.
2) Marriage is presented as a picture of the relationship between God and his people/Christ and the church. Divorce is only acceptable in the case of adultery, as this picture would no longer apply.
3) Remarriage is allowed for those whose spouse has died or committed adultery, but the ideal is to remain single if possible according to Paul's teaching. Any new marriage should be "in the Lord" to an equally yoked Christian.
This document discusses adultery from a biblical perspective. It provides passages from Genesis establishing God's design for marriage as a lifelong union between one man and one woman. Additional passages condemn adultery as a betrayal of the marriage covenant and a sin against one's own body. While adultery is not permissible, the document notes it can be forgiven for those who repent and turn from sin through faith in Jesus Christ. The overall message is that God's plan is for married couples to honor their vows and flee temptation by focusing on spiritual growth and fulfilling their duties to one another.
This document discusses views on divorce and remarriage from a biblical perspective. It summarizes that while God hates divorce, he allows it for serious sins like sexual immorality or desertion that break the marriage covenant. Jesus permits divorce only for sexual sins, not other reasons. The document examines biblical passages and principles, concluding that God makes allowances for human frailty and offers mercy, but divorce should only be pursued after attempts at reconciliation have failed due to severe sins. Remarriage is permissible for those divorced for biblically acceptable reasons.

This document discusses the Seventh-day Adventist views on marriage, family, and divorce. It outlines that marriage was divinely established as a lifelong union between a man and a woman. Divorce is acceptable only in cases of adultery, and remarriage is prohibited while the divorced spouse is still living. Children are a blessing when raised in the knowledge of God. The family plays an important role in spiritual nurture and is intended to reflect the relationship between Christ and the church.
The document is a sermon on the 10 Commandments given in Exodus 20. It discusses:
1. The purpose of the 10 Commandments is to affirm God's glory and show people's need for Christ to obey them fully.
2. While the Commandments were given to the Israelites as instructions, their true purpose is to show that people cannot keep God's perfect standards on their own and need salvation.
3. Jesus summed up the entire law as loving God fully and loving others as yourself, showing the Commandments ultimately point to him as the fulfillment of the law.
The document discusses God's design and purpose for marriage. It asserts that marriage is God's idea, established before sin, as a symbol of Christ's relationship to the church. God's plan for marriage involves a man leaving his parents to be united with his wife, becoming one flesh in a lifelong covenant. Biblical roles of marriage include companionship, enjoyment, worship, protection, procreation, and completeness between partners. The document urges upholding marriage as God intended through mutual love and submission between spouses.
This document provides an outline and summary of a sermon given on Exodus 20:1-17 and the 10 Commandments. The key points discussed include:
1. The 10 Commandments affirm God's glory by reflecting his character of faithfulness, truth, and righteousness.
2. The commandments announce humanity's need for Christ since we fail to live up to God's perfect standards.
3. The law anticipates the power of the Holy Spirit to empower believers to obey God's commands through faith in Christ.
Study Of The Law Part 2 - The 10 Commandments (1-3)Don McClain
The document discusses the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God. It provides background on the commandments, including how they are divided into the law toward God and toward others. The Ten Commandments formed the essence of the covenant between God and Israel. They established the highest moral code prior to Jesus. Each commandment is then examined individually, highlighting what it prohibited and why, with references to related Bible passages.

Jesus has been called the "Great Physician." We think of His miracles of healing. But those miracles of healing our physical bodies point to a far greater miracle--the healing of our heart and soul. He doesn't just mean physical life and death. He points to something greater--spiritual life and death, both in this world and the next.

We can spend a lifetime looking for that which will fill our souls. We can look far and wide, with people, with events, with experiences, with acquisitions, and with just about anything else you of which comes to mind. But we will never touch the deepest parts of our soul until we find what Jesus called "living water." We will experience more of that living water as we become dispensers of living water, just like the woman we'll study this week!

John 3 also lays out God's rescue mission of men and women who are lost, guilty, and without hope, in need of rescue! But most folks aren't interested, not believing they need rescuing, and certainly not interested in the remedy for sin.

We so often hear the story of Mary this time of year, but it’s just as easy to gloss over the extreme cost it would have been to a young girl, to find herself graced with this ‘favor’ from God. What did it cost her in terms of her life’s plans? What did it cost her socially, with her family, with friends and neighbors? What does radical obedience cost us?

The document discusses Jesus as the coming king who will reign eternally based on passages from the Bible. It describes Jesus' birth being foretold and the Magi coming to worship the newborn king. While Jesus' kingdom is not of this world, it refers to God's rule over people's hearts and will continue to grow until the end of time. Jesus is the king of kings and ruler of everything who will welcome his followers into the kingdom of glory in heaven.

The Christmas message clearly spells out the deity of Christ, but this is not just a theological issue with which to ponder. It is meant to jolt us out of our spiritual stupor (sleepiness) to obeying "Jesus Christ our LORD." If obedience in our daily lives is replaced by right theology, then the boat has sailed without us.

Beneath people's veneer are hidden questions. "Do I matter? Do I matter to anyone? Does someone really care about me?" People hunger and thirst for real "life," that sense of satisfaction that comes from being deeply connected with God and others. That is what Christ offers us, and He offers this real "life" through us to others! What we all want to know, is how does this happen?
The document discusses issues people have with the Bible and argues for its authority and trustworthiness. It notes that Jesus viewed the Bible as a story that reaches its climax in his life, and that he considered it trustworthy and authoritative. The document argues that Jesus is the ultimate authority, but that he mediates his authority through scripture, so obeying the Bible means obeying Jesus.
Jeremiah lamented over his people, weeping for their unfaithfulness and the destruction that would come. As the prophet of God, he faced opposition and persecution for delivering messages of judgment. He proclaimed that Jerusalem would fall to Babylon due to their sins. Still, God expressed tender compassion for Israel and a hope that they would one day return to Him.

Gender our biblical worldview part 7 seth g october 18 2020Pacific Church
In our day there is growing confusion about gender. There is a secular movement of thinking that seeks to minimize or obliterate any differences between genders. In this secular way of thinking, gender is something that one feels or identifies as. This is like leaving a great sailing ship on the high seas without sails and a rudder. It will be carried along wherever the current wishes, adrift on the open seas. The unintended consequences of this thinking is to create greater confusion for young people who already struggle with their gender and confusing feelings of their identity, but there is a wondrous design to complementary gender that seeks to build intimacy in a marriage, deeper relationships with people, and reflects the wonder of our Trinitarian God.

What does the bible say about marriage? Up until 15-20 years ago this was not a "controversial" topic. Everyone knew the answer. Our secular culture continues to send its tsunami waves at our Judeo-Christian heritage, causing great confusion. How are we to think about same-sex marriage? What does the bible say? Before we address those questions we will spend time reviewing what makes a marriage a biblical marriage.
As we continue our conversation on a Christian worldview, specifically as it deals with thinking through this upcoming election we are diving deeper and deeper into different issues. This week we are looking at the sanctity of life. What it means to be made in the image of God, to have value, and to be worthy of life, no matter what stage of life you are in.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

3. MARRIAGE
5. To shape maturity.
6. Fundamental relational roles from

7. Sex's design.
4. DIVORCE
Matthew 5:31 "It has been said,
'Anyone who divorces his wife must give
her a certificate of divorce.'"
5. Deuteronomy 24:1 If a man marries a
woman who becomes displeasing to him
because he finds something indecent
about her, and he writes her a certificate
of divorce, gives it to her and sends her
from his house…
6. Mark 10:2 Some Pharisees came and
tested him by asking, "Is it lawful for a
man to divorce his wife?"
8. 4 They said, "Moses permitted a man to
write a certificate of divorce and send
her away."
9. 5 "It was because your hearts were hard
that Moses wrote you this law," Jesus
replied.
10. Yes, divorce was permitted, but only
because of the hardness of man's hearts.
Then, Jesus reminds them what God's
ideal of marriage looks like.
11. 6 "But at the beginning of creation God
'made them male and female.'
12. 7 'For this reason a man will leave his
father and mother and be united to his
wife,
13. 8 and the two will become one flesh.' So
they are no longer two, but one.
14. 9 Therefore what God has joined
together, let man not separate."
15. DIVORCE, SEPARATION AND
REMARRIAGE
Matthew 5:32 But I tell you that anyone
who divorces his wife, except for marital
unfaithfulness, causes her to become an
adulteress, and anyone who marries the
divorced woman commits adultery.
16. 1 Corinthians 7:15 But if the unbeliever
leaves, let him do so. A believing man or
woman is not bound in such
circumstances; God has called us to live
in peace.
17. 10 To the married I give this command
(not I, but the Lord): A wife must not
separate from her husband.
18. 11 But if she does, she must remain
unmarried or else be reconciled to her
husband. And a husband must not
divorce his wife.
19. KEEPING YOUR VOWS
Matthew 5:33 "Again, you have heard
that it was said to the people long ago,
'Do not break your oath, but keep the
oaths you have made to the Lord.' "
20. 34 But I tell you, Do not swear at all:
either by heaven, for it is God's throne;
35 or by the earth, for it is his footstool;
or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the
Great King.
21. 36 And do not swear by your head, for
you cannot make even one hair white or
black. 37 Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,'
and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond
this comes from the evil one.
22. Exodus 20:7 "You shall not misuse the
name of the Lord your God, for the Lord
will not hold anyone guiltless who
misuses his name."
23. YOUR WORDS AND YOUR HEART
Matthew 12:34 You brood of vipers, how
can you who are evil say anything good?
For out of the overflow of the heart the
mouth speaks.
24. Psalm 15:1 Lord, who may dwell in your
