This is part 2 of the Finally fruitful series. Especially for these times in which we live, God needs all of His children to carry on the work of the kingdom!
1. Obedience to God results in opposition but also releases God's miracles and blessings. When the apostles obeyed God by continuing to preach, they were imprisoned but an angel freed them.
2. True strength comes from obedience to God rather than men. The apostles were willing to obey God over human authorities.
3. To be strong in obedience requires knowing Christ, having faith, and obeying God completely and immediately despite any challenges or tests of obedience.
There are not many things as wondrous to receive, or difficult to give, as the gift of forgiveness. However, in Christ we are made clean, no longer condemned, at peace with God, and called to forgive.
The document contains a prayer for the church, those in need, the sick, and all people. It summarizes the key themes of being called out of darkness into God's light through faith in Jesus Christ. The prayer asks God to continue guiding the church's outreach efforts, protect missionaries, empower believers to reflect His love, help those in poverty or unemployment, grant healing to the sick, strengthen faith, and hear all the prayers of His people.
The document summarizes passages from 1 Corinthians 15 that discuss Jesus' death, burial, resurrection, and appearances after his resurrection. It emphasizes that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and was raised on the third day according to scripture. It then appeared to Peter, the twelve disciples, over 500 people, James, and the apostles including Paul. It states that the resurrection is the foundation of Christianity and verifies Jesus' claim to be the Son of God.
Prayer#2 Unity Hans Rasmussen Denver Church of ChristDenverCoC
This document discusses why unity through prayer is important. It provides several biblical references to support this. Specifically, it notes that we need each other as different parts of the body of Christ. It also points out that unity allows the world to see God's love more clearly. Finally, it suggests that when we are united, we can accomplish more together than alone through the power of God's grace.

This document discusses the importance and results of strong faith, prayer, speaking, and obedience. It states that strength comes from belief and that how one prays reflects the size of their faith in God. It also notes that strong speaking reflects deep beliefs and that the apostles' bold obedience led to signs, wonders, and more people being saved. Their obedience despite opposition released God's miracles and always required faith. The document concludes that obeying God's commands results in blessings, prosperity, being set above other nations, and not lacking any good thing.
Sabbath school lesson 11, 1st quarter of 2016David Syahputra
Peter teaches that as God's chosen people, Christians should (1) live holy lives, and (2) confront problems and scoffers by trusting God and His promises. When facing persecution, believers should turn to prayer. Peter also emphasizes that Christians must prepare for Christ's second coming by developing godly character through studying the Bible, and by living blameless lives through God's power as we await His return.
This document discusses how understanding one's true identity in Christ is essential to living freely as a Christian. It argues that Christians are saints, not sinners, and should understand themselves as beloved children of God rather than feeling condemned. Repeatedly affirming one's identity as accepted, secure, and significant in Christ, as described in passages throughout the New Testament, can help overcome lies of the devil and live confidently according to one's true nature.
Mr. Scott recites daily confessions and prayers based on passages from the Bible. He asks God for forgiveness of sins, cleansing, healing, protection, blessings, wisdom, strength, prosperity, and transformation into God's image. He expresses faith that through Christ all things are possible, Christ dwells in him, and his needs will be supplied. He closes by asking God to complete the work begun in him and to manifest these things now in the name of Jesus.
11.30.14 part 5 The Grace of God in our HumilityCatherine Lirio
This document discusses the importance of humility and grace in the Christian faith. It provides several examples from the Bible where people were exalted by God when they humbled themselves, such as Daniel who prayed daily. The document contrasts humility with pride, noting that one must humble themselves before God to receive grace. It encourages behaviors like prayer, forgiveness, and avoiding boasting to cultivate humility before God.
1) The document discusses how in Christ, one has an identity of being accepted, secure, and significant.
2) It affirms that in Christ, one belongs to God, is a member of Christ's body, and is united with the Lord. They are complete, safe from harm, and have a spirit of power.
3) Additionally, the document states that in Christ, one has purpose as salt and light, can do all things through Christ, and is God's workmanship, appointed to bear fruit and be a channel of His life as a branch of the vine.
The title of this message by Pastor Chuck Bernal is "You Are Worth It". In this message Pastor Chuck talks about the four ways to determine the value of something and how these show our intrinsic worth to God. This message was delivered on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at LifePointe Church in Crowley, TX.
The document discusses how Jesus' sacrifice fulfilled and replaced the temporary sacrificial system of the Old Testament. It explains that animal sacrifices could not permanently take away sins and were only a shadow of what was to come. Jesus' one-time sacrifice of his body was sufficient to make believers perfect and take away their sins forever. His sacrifice fulfilled God's will and established a new covenant through which believers' sins would be forgiven and God's laws written on their hearts.
The document summarizes passages from Acts 1 that describe Jesus' interactions with His disciples after His resurrection. It says that for 40 days Jesus appeared to His disciples, giving proofs that He was alive and speaking about God's kingdom. Jesus instructed His disciples to remain in Jerusalem until receiving power from the Holy Spirit. He told them they would receive power and would be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the entire world.
Paul introduces himself as a servant of Christ Jesus called to be an apostle. He discusses how the gospel was promised beforehand through prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding God's Son Jesus, who was descended from David and declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead. Through Jesus, Paul and others received grace and apostleship to call people from among all nations to obedience through faith, including the Romans. Paul is obligated to preach the gospel to both Jews and Gentiles because the gospel is God's power for salvation to all who believe, as it reveals a righteousness from God through faith.
The document discusses the unpractical truth of God's love for humanity. It notes that while creation was made in shalom and goodness, it was fractured by sin. However, God remains just and good, and Christ redeemed all of creation. A new world is coming as our lives tell the story of God unfolding, with or without us. The document offers two unpractical responses: God-centered repentance that leads to Christ as Lord, and finding God-centered joy.
Ephesians 2:1-10. God's Grace. I. THROUGH GOD'S GRACE WE HAVE A NEW CONDITION - (Eph 2:1-3) II. IN GOD'S GRACE WE HAVE A NEW POSITION - (Eph 2:4-7) III. BECAUSE OF GOD'S GRACE WE HAVE A NEW AMBITION - (Eph 2:8-10)
Paul argues that people are justified by faith in Jesus Christ, not by works of the law. Through faith in Christ, believers have died to the law and now live by faith in the Son of God. Paul references Abraham, who was declared righteous due to his faith, not works, demonstrating that justification has always been by faith. Gentiles who have faith share in God's blessing promised to Abraham.
These passages from Romans 8 discuss the role of the Holy Spirit for Christians and the identity and privileges of being a child of God. They state that those led by the Spirit are not controlled by sin but live righteously. The Spirit testifies that believers are adopted children of God who can call God "Father" and will inherit eternal life and glory. Being God's children through the Spirit means freedom from condemnation and a place in His family.
The document discusses doing the will of God. It provides several Bible verses that emphasize the importance of doing God's will to enter heaven, be part of God's family, and abide with God forever. Examples of God's will include believing in Jesus, being saved, and coming to know the truth. The document encourages praying for and seeking God's will rather than one's own agenda. It suggests studying several Bible passages to understand God's will and priorities. In summary, the key message is that doing God's will, as revealed in the Bible, is essential for the Christian life and eternity.
08. What Did Jesus Accomplish for Us? Part I NotesWilliam Anderson
This document discusses what Jesus accomplished for humanity through his life and death. It explains that Jesus satisfied God's wrath against sin through his sacrificial death on the cross (propitiation), paid the price to redeem and set humanity free from sin (redemption), and through faith in him believers can be declared righteous by God (justification). The key things Jesus did were to live a sinless life, sacrifice himself on the cross, and rise from the dead in order to deal with human sin and its consequences before God.

1) The document summarizes Paul's letter to the Galatians about freedom in Christ and avoiding legalism and licentiousness.
2) It discusses four topics from Galatians 5: freedom in Christ, freedom versus legalism, freedom versus licentiousness, and freedom and the law.
3) The key point is that through faith in Christ believers are free from sin, condemnation, and the curse of the law, but this freedom is not a license to sin and should instead motivate believers to love and serve one another.

It also references several Bible passages about having faith in God, letting God's power work through you, and the importance of love and obedience. The overall message is that by trusting in God and letting His power and love flow through us, we can accomplish more for His purposes.

This document contains excerpts from scripture and outlines discussing the judgment seat of Christ. Some key points:
1) All believers will stand before the judgment seat of Christ to be judged based on their works and receive rewards.
2) There are several crowns or rewards that may be received based on faithfulness and service, such as crowns for righteousness, life, rejoicing, and glory.
3) Believers will be judged on how they lived their life in different areas like treating others, using their talents, generosity, enduring suffering, witnessing to souls, and faithfulness.

Amy completed a preliminary film task with two classmates. They wrote a short script with dialogue between two actors, created a storyboard, and filmed five shots. Filming was difficult due to background noise and not laughing during takes. Editing went smoothly using techniques learned in class. Overall, Amy found the process easy since steps were clearly explained and some were practiced beforehand. Areas for improvement included limited camera space, tight time constraints, and short dialogue making transitions difficult. The preliminary task did not provide ideas for Amy's required two-minute film opening due to the basic nature of the script.

M2014 s91 why i love the church of christ part 5 sermonJames Bradshaw
The document discusses worshipping God in spirit and truth according to the Bible. It notes worship must be done with sincerity and as directed by God's word. True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. The church of Christ aims to worship in this manner by being autonomous under Christ as head, taking opportunities to worship and serve others, remembering Christ's death through communion each Sunday, and following biblical instruction on worship.
This document provides guidance on prayer based on Jesus' prayer model from Matthew 6:5-15. It discusses that prayer is important for communication with God and helps effect change. The prayer model begins by addressing God as "Our Father" in heaven, recognizing him as the giver of all good gifts and our loving creator. Prayer is then shown to involve worshipping God, acknowledging his will, asking for daily needs, seeking forgiveness, and avoiding temptation. Maintaining communication through regular prayer was key to Moses' and believers' success.
This document provides an outline and summary of Ephesians 4:11-16 from a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. It discusses how Christ brings unity among believers and within the church. Christ gave gifts like apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors to equip saints for serving and building up the body of Christ. This helps believers attain unity in faith and knowledge of Christ to mature like Him. Maintaining unity depends on our connection to Christ as the head of the church. The conclusion exhorts maintaining the same mindset as described in Philippians 2:1-4.
This document provides an outline and summary of Ephesians 4:11-16 from a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. It discusses how Christ gives spiritual gifts to believers for equipping the saints and building up the church until unity of faith and knowledge of God is achieved. It emphasizes that believers should no longer be children tossed about by false doctrines but should speak truth in love to grow up in Christ as the head of the body. The conclusion exhorts maintaining unity through humility, unity with Christ, and looking to others' interests above one's own.
ACTS stands for adoration, confession, thanksgiving and supplication. Together these can combine into a powerful method for talking to God and strengthening your personal prayer life.

Jesus teaches a wonder parable about farming, soil, and the seed. The seed is the word of God the Gospel. In this lesson we will cover the value of the farmer and the seed.
The document discusses the parable of the Sower and Soils from Mark 4. It explains that the sower is Jesus and others who spread the gospel message, which is likened to a seed. It describes how we should plant seeds by loving others, allowing our faith and good works to be seen, and telling people about God's impact in our lives. The value of the seed is that it gives birth to life, salvation, and spiritual blessings like pardon, peace, redemption, adoption, and the Holy Spirit.
BELIEVING A BETTER ME AND A BETTER LIFE IN 2016Stanley Tan

A sermon that talks about the importance of spiritual growth.
This presentation teaches that spiritual maturity and growth must be a priority of a Christian.
Sanctification is the process by which God separates believers from sin and dedicates them to his service. It is effected by God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Believers are sanctified through the atoning work of Christ, the word of God, and by being in Christ. Sanctification leads believers to mortify sin and pursue holiness. Ministers should pray and exhort believers to progress in sanctification, as it is necessary for inheriting God's kingdom. In the Old Testament, various people and objects were sanctified or set apart for holy use as a type of sanctification.
Sept 20.2015- Sunday Message- YOU WERE FORMED FOR GOD'S FAMILYCatherine Lirio
1. The document discusses the purpose of fellowship, which is to worship God, be part of God's family, and share in His pleasure.
2. Fellowship refers to being part of the church, which is God's family. Members of the church are called to love and accept one another as fellow members.
3. There are four levels of fellowship: sharing together through acts like opening homes and sharing encouragement; belonging together as important members of God's family; serving together through partnership in God's work; and suffering together by sharing each other's troubles.
4. True fellowship involves the whole church body working together in unity under God's direction.
Why Attend All the Services of the ChurchMichael Smith
The document discusses why it is important to attend all services of the church, including Bible classes, worship services, and gospel meetings. It provides several reasons: 1) to obey God's command to assemble together, 2) to encourage and motivate one another to love and good deeds, and 3) because it is necessary for spiritual safety, strength, and growth. Attending all services helps Christians set a good example, prove their love for God, and allows the church to continue growing.
The document is a sermon about walking as children of light and imitating God by avoiding sinful behaviors. It discusses how Christians must walk in love as Christ did, redeeming their time and using it wisely. It warns that sin will cause us to lose our inheritance in God's kingdom and face God's wrath. Christians are called to be lights in the world that others may see their good works and glorify God.
The document discusses what it means to be a mature Christian and move from being a spiritual baby/child to an adult. It provides several Bible passages that encourage believers to continue growing in their faith and move beyond basic doctrines to a deeper understanding. Some key aspects of maturity discussed include: examining yourself to know where you are spiritually, understanding what God has done for and in believers, allowing God to accomplish greater things through believers, and believers' responsibility to bear fruit for God. The goal is to leave basic teachings and "go on to perfection."

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.

3. Eph 4:16
Under his [Christ’s} direction, the whole
body is fitted together perfectly. As each part
does its own special work, it helps the other
parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy
and growing and full of love. NLT
7. Hebrews 10:24-25
24 And let us consider one another in
order to stir up love and good works, 25
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as is the manner of some, but
exhorting one another, and so much the

For we are His workmanship, created in

prepared beforehand that we should walk

10. 1 Cor 1:26-31
Brothers, think of what you were when you
were called. Not many of you were wise by
human standards; not many were influential;
not many were of noble birth. 27 But God
chose the foolish things of the world to shame
the wise; God chose the weak things of the
world to shame the strong. 28 He chose the
lowly things of this world and the despised
things-and the things that are not-to nullify the
things that are, 29 so that no one may boast

12. Rom 5:3-5
We can rejoice, too, when we run into
problems and trials, for we know that they are
good for us — they help us learn to endure. 4
And endurance develops strength of character
in us, and character strengthens our confident
expectation of salvation. 5 And this
expectation will not disappoint us. For we
know how dearly God loves us, because he has
given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with
his love. NLT
13. Rom 8:28
And we know that all things work together for
good to those who love God, to those who are

NKJV
15. Matt 6:5-7
And when you pray, you shall not be like the
hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in
the synagogues and on the corners of the
streets, that they may be seen by men.
Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
6 But you, when you pray, go into your room,
and when you have shut your door, pray to
your Father who is in the secret place; and
your Father who sees in secret will reward you
openly. NKJV
17. 1 John 1:9-10
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not
sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not
in us. NKJV

not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not
your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
