Psalm 103:1-5 calls the reader to bless God for his benefits, including forgiveness of sins, healing from diseases, redemption from destruction, blessing with kindness and mercy, and renewal. Ephesians 1:3-6 also praises God for blessing believers with spiritual blessings in Christ, including choosing them before creation to be holy, predestining them to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, and making them accepted in God's beloved son according to God's good pleasure and will.

Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,

5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,

Redemption in Christ
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every
spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in
Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy
and without blame before Him in love, 5 having
predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus
Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure
of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace,
by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
