The majority of network marketing distributors never make a profit and that gives
network marketing a bad reputation.
Corporate promotes entrepreneurship (good), business flexibility (good), financial
freedom (good) but they fail to promote structure (bad). The result is a tremendous
amount of energy and enthusiasm by new distributors with no direction, no standard
operating procedure, no proven path for success and the results are evident — the
majority fail. So what does corporate do?
They shift the focus of their efforts towards recruiting proven distributor leaders who
don’t need to be trained, who already have a following and who bring their own
direction, standard operating procedure and track record of success.

Adopt a franchise model structure for all distributors.
The franchise model is to create structure that is successfully
proven to generate income and then license that model to new
business operators (distributors/franchisees) who will use
established trademarks, branding and business practices of the
franchisor. In other words, the distributor is licensed to use the
company’s trade name and operating systems which include
training, support, operational instructions and tools. If the
distributor deviates from standard operating practice of the
company their business license is can be voided.
