This document outlines the stages and strategies used to build a community of e-portfolio users at Pratt Institute. It discusses expanding and demystifying the discourse around e-portfolios through argumentative, shifting, and instructional language strategies. It also discusses building a common discourse through foundational, informative, and subversive strategies. Finally, it discusses merging discourse and practice through contextual, collaborative, and empathetic strategies and appropriating the discourse through personal and empowering strategies.
