The director pitches a music video with a non-linear narrative about a bullied boy who dies in a car crash. The protagonist, though a "cool looking jock", is bullied by other students portrayed as "geeky" to subvert stereotypes. The video aims to intertextually reference the 1980s-theme of Stranger Things through its costumes and era. Filming will take 1-2 days at school and other locations, followed by editing work.

2. Plot and Chosen Narrative
My plot is about a boy who is bullied at school and in the end crashes
his car and dies. At the beginning you get a reaction to his death to set
the scene to what will occur.
The narrative of the music video is non linear as it doesn’t flow as a
story.

3. Characters
The protagonist is quite a cool looking person and comes across as a
jock. To break stereotypes he will not be popular and will suffer being
bullied During a part inside the school he approaches a girl. This does
not go down well when everyone around him mocks him.
Those who bully the protagonist wont be stereotypically ’cool’, they will
be quite geeky to show a sort of role reversal. It will present the them
of not judging a book by its cover. Instead get to know them.

4. Costumes
All costumes will be 80s styled.
The main protagonist will wear jock style clothing. This will include a
pair of hightops, skinny jeans and a bomber style jacket. His hair will be
styled to the side and will be quite messy. All his clothing will be bright.
The other characters will wear quite reserved dull clothing. Baggy
trousers and long skirts will be worn. The girl will wear cardigans and
the boys will wear v neck jumpers and high neck tops. Their shoes will
either be loafers or brogues.

5. Intertextuality
The intertextuality in my music video is that it links to Stranger Things.
This is through the use of costumes and the 80s theme.

8. Production Schedule
Filming Spend a day or two filming in multiple places
including at school and along Elkington Road.
Editing Multiple lessons and freetime.
