The setting of our teaser trailer
is the college as we fill this fits
in with the teen drama genre
extremely well and
stereotypically is the most
popular setting for a teen
drama.
By setting our film in a college
it also allowed it to be easy
accessed for us and without
any complications when it
comes to filming about how
difficult filming certain shots
will be.
Throughout our trailer we
have 4 different main
characters, therefore they’ll
be different facial expressions
and body language for each.
The rebel maintains the ‘I don’t
care’ look and rebellious actions
such as smoking and drinking.
The boffin has a look as
though they feel they’re
superior to the rest of the
cast due to their high
intelligence.
The jock has a smug
look to them as they
rarely join in with the
others due to keep up
their good reputation.
The introvert maintains a
shy facial expression as
they don’t like to interact
with the others.
Throughout our teaser trailer we have kept the lighting as high key, this
follows the traditional lighting of a teen drama as the lighting normally
reflects the mood of the film.
Here we can see examples of high key lighting within teen drama films as the
mood is generally in high spirits unlike a thriller or a horror.
The introvert will be quite
hidden and scruffy with
messy hair/wearing a
beanie and no makeup in
order for her to stand out
and differentiate from the
other characters.
The rebel will be
wearing a short skirt
and a long
bomber/biker jacket to
create the idea of a
rebel and breaking the
rules.
The boffin will be
wearing glasses and a
shirt, showing the
stereotypical version of
a geek. The makeup on
this character will be
minimal and the hair
will be either in plaits or
just straight down.
The job will be wearing a
Adidas tracksuit or Nike
tracksuit and a cap. With
the prop of a football.
