A journey through a struggling life conquering the ways to
overcome it.
Treatment
Running time: 7min drama movie
• Equilibrium – a look through on protagonist’s life days are the same
• Disruption – Bullies get rough mentally and physically to protagonist he just
takes it
• Recognition – Protagonist doesn't’t like his life and whilst walking home he
helps a homeless person which makes him feel better
• Attempt to repair – protagonist helps homeless person by giving his lunch to
her whilst the bullying still carries on
• Equilibrium – Protagonist and homeless person become friends and help
each other on what they're struggling with and the bullies eventually stop
Treatment
• Original idea – used real life issues to convey how someone can get past
them & people are there like the homeless person. Not being stereotypical.
Style of film – very contrasting. Portraying protagonist and homeless with dark
harsh lighting with pov shots. Smooth Panning/tracking shots within
classroom.
• Topical nature – a lot of homeless people around people quick to judge
Help with a bullying and or homeless organization.
Other projects UK based – kidult hood etc.
Treatment
• Similar to movie Powder 1995 style wise
Purpose – relate to audience as not openly talked about – People are
there to help. As a film maker this allows me to produce
cinematography in my own way and abeles me to see what works for
my film and what doesn’t.
Character breakdown
• Purpose – relate to audience as not openly talked about – People are there
to help you friends/family etc
• Characters – Protagonist, bullies, homeless person
Builds narrative tackling problems relate to audience – bullying/homelessness.

Messy person/glasses/doesn't’t care about anything

Lighting will contrast from light to dark signifying the importance
of all the main characters.
Lighting in the classroom will be fairy normal yet bright as it will
be in the morning. We will have natural lighting as well to make
it seem as real as possible

• Developed further into TV series – outlining daily issues and
ways to handle them, good for younger generation.

Not misrepresenting/not stereotyping
Using royalty free music – so I will not be getting a copyright strike.

• DVD certified as U appealing to everyone as any age you could
be dealing with these issues. Sensitive material warning
Distribute to:
Channel 4 – track record with other documentaries about
reality. Ofcom follow guidelines.

Budget
• A week or 2 at max to finish. Total=19k Released In May 2018
Budget
Cost is reasonable for a UK short film – 19k for equipment and jobs
• Take time filming: different locations, extras for context –
cinematography wise so it looks good.
Target Audience
• Male/Female – 12-20 primary audience
• Males - 20-35 – secondary audience
• Socio economic grouping - E-C – Parents working/disposable income
• Both gender appealed: anyone can go through being homeless to
being bullied.
Target Audience
• Bullying could appeal to the younger audience (12-20) as
could be going through the issues –
Mainly understanding bullying and giving help to others who need it.
The older audience (20-35) could relate to it , and maybe help
others (children) to tackle it and bullying.

Pitch presentation - Ammended

  • 1. Life. A journey through a struggling life conquering the ways to overcome it.
  • 2. Treatment Running time: 7min drama movie • Equilibrium – a look through on protagonist’s life days are the same • Disruption – Bullies get rough mentally and physically to protagonist he just takes it • Recognition – Protagonist doesn't’t like his life and whilst walking home he helps a homeless person which makes him feel better • Attempt to repair – protagonist helps homeless person by giving his lunch to her whilst the bullying still carries on • Equilibrium – Protagonist and homeless person become friends and help each other on what they're struggling with and the bullies eventually stop
  • 3. Treatment • Original idea – used real life issues to convey how someone can get past them & people are there like the homeless person. Not being stereotypical. Style of film – very contrasting. Portraying protagonist and homeless with dark harsh lighting with pov shots. Smooth Panning/tracking shots within classroom. • Topical nature – a lot of homeless people around people quick to judge Help with a bullying and or homeless organization. Other projects UK based – kidult hood etc.
  • 4. Treatment • Similar to movie Powder 1995 style wise Purpose – relate to audience as not openly talked about – People are there to help. As a film maker this allows me to produce cinematography in my own way and abeles me to see what works for my film and what doesn’t.
  • 5. Character breakdown • Purpose – relate to audience as not openly talked about – People are there to help you friends/family etc • Characters – Protagonist, bullies, homeless person Builds narrative tackling problems relate to audience – bullying/homelessness.
  • 6. Character breakdown • Protagonist – poor/no friends/hates his life/bullied Messy person/glasses/doesn't’t care about anything
  • 7. Character breakdown • Homeless person – living in school lift/ no family/ no qualifications high school drop out
  • 8. Character breakdown • Bullies – rich/rude/jealous/snarky

  • 11. Production Lighting will contrast from light to dark signifying the importance of all the main characters. Lighting in the classroom will be fairy normal yet bright as it will be in the morning. We will have natural lighting as well to make it seem as real as possible
  • 13. Post-production • Developed further into TV series – outlining daily issues and ways to handle them, good for younger generation. Film festival Not misrepresenting/not stereotyping Using royalty free music – so I will not be getting a copyright strike.
  • 14. Post Production • DVD certified as U appealing to everyone as any age you could be dealing with these issues. Sensitive material warning Distribute to: Channel 4 – track record with other documentaries about reality. Ofcom follow guidelines.
  • 16. Filming Schedule Day 1 filming – Location: School Setup: 3:00pm – 3:30pm Day 2 filming – Outside street Setup: 10:00am-10:30am
  • 17. Filming Schedule Day 3 filming – Location: Cafe Setup: 3:00pm-3:30pm Day 4 filming – Location corridors Setup: 3:30pm-4:00pm
  • 18. Budget • A week or 2 at max to finish. Total=19k Released In May 2018
  • 19. Budget Cost is reasonable for a UK short film – 19k for equipment and jobs • Take time filming: different locations, extras for context – cinematography wise so it looks good.
  • 20. Target Audience • Male/Female – 12-20 primary audience • Males - 20-35 – secondary audience • Socio economic grouping - E-C – Parents working/disposable income • Both gender appealed: anyone can go through being homeless to being bullied.
  • 21. Target Audience • Bullying could appeal to the younger audience (12-20) as could be going through the issues – Mainly understanding bullying and giving help to others who need it. The older audience (20-35) could relate to it , and maybe help others (children) to tackle it and bullying.
