2. Objectives Gain an detailed understanding of the work of a particular music video director Begin to appreciate the concept of a recognisable ‘style’ in the work of a particular director Develop personal research & written communication skills

3. Task This task is individual Pick a director and research, gather notes and materials (e.g. stills, videos, quotes) for a comprehensive individual blog post. All words must be your own – no cut and paste.

What your blog post must include Blog post must include: At least two embedded videos Images of the director Basic bio detail (edited by you, not just copy/paste) Key artists they work with Key videos Other work – e.g. advertising/film An account of their ‘style’ – is there anything typical about the ‘look’ of their work? Do they use lots of CGI or are they more into natural effects? Cinematography/ use of colour? Use of light? Recurring motifs / iconography in their work? A personal response to their work – what do you admire about this director? What do you like about his/her style?
