The document discusses the changing telecommunications industry from 2005 to 2010. It notes that:
1) Revenue growth has fallen below 2 digits in most mature markets as fixed and mobile revenue is no longer growing significantly.
2) Emerging markets and BRIC countries are now sustaining the sector's annual growth of around 2%.
3) While overall communications have increased due to growth in internet services, the share of traditional telecom services is unchanged. Revenue does not track increases in network traffic as more traffic is generated through over-the-top services.

In short there is a missing piece in the innovation process …where can technology companies conduct large scale trials/PoCs with real customer feedback? The pace of worldwide innovation now requires a scalable live production lab where technology, products and services can be tested prior to global expansion. JT Labs is offering a solution to solve this major innovation dilemma; JT is the only tier-one quad-play carrier in the world that is offing it’s networks and customer base for companies to trial their technology, products and services before launching worldwide.
JT Lab is in the island nation of Jersey, located in the English Channel; 100,000 person population, 42,000 households, 4000 businesses and Government offices, Island size 9 miles x 5 miles. Jersey is a self-governing, British Crown Dependency, English speaking & uses Jersey Pound Sterling currency, yet is outside the EU & UK. Sixth highest GDP per capita in the world and broadest demographic spread in Europe. Highly educated tech-savvy population with 80+% smartphone penetration and connected to some of the fastest networks in the world (Wireless, 1Gps FTTP, VoIP NGN Landline) all provided to them by JT Global.

This document provides an overview of the French telecom industry in 2021. It finds that while the global digital ecosystem continued growing during the COVID-19 pandemic, growth was more limited for European telecoms. It also notes that French telecom operators continued investing heavily in networks to support increased usage, and that telecom infrastructure investment in France reached 11.5 billion euros in 2020, making telecoms the largest private infrastructure investors. Price of telecom services in France are among the lowest in major Western markets.

Presentation about why the European Community funds research in ICT and about the opportunities for funding in Software and Services in the FP7 ICT Work Programme, for the SSAIE Summer School, Heraklion (Greece), 16 June 2009
This document provides an overview of the telecom sector in France in 2020. Some key points:
1) Telecom players are driving forces in the digital ecosystem in France and have invested over €10 billion annually in networks, the highest level ever.
2) These infrastructure investments were essential during the COVID-19 outbreak to support economic and social activity moving online.
3) France has accelerated fiber deployment, connecting over 5 million additional premises in the last year, and has among the lowest priced telecom services in major Western markets.
4) The telecom sector is the largest private investor in infrastructure in France and plays a leading role in supporting the fourth industrial revolution through its network investments.
1. The telecom industry is at the core of French society and economy, with over 3/4 of French people having mobile phones and internet access. €39 billion has been invested in telecom networks since 2006.
2. Telecoms are a major driver of the French economy, injecting €204 billion and supporting over 300,000 direct and indirect jobs in France.
3. Telecom usage in France continues to grow rapidly, with increases of 11% in mobile voice minutes, 69% in data traffic, and 10 billion additional text messages over the last year. However, telecom prices have decreased by 8% since 2006, less than overall inflation of 10%.
Telecom operators are central to the French digital ecosystem, accounting for around 60% of revenues, 75% of employment, and around 90% of investments and taxes. As digital demand grows in France, there is a need for highly performing networks that can ensure network security, high connection speeds, reliable service, and sufficient network capacity to support innovative new digital services. However, declining revenues in the telecom sector in Europe are starting to reduce investments, posing a challenge for developing networks to meet future needs. Proposals are needed to strengthen telecom operators and develop a strong digital offering in France and Europe.

This report is a reminder that telecom operators are the pillars of the digital economy. It also stresses that France and Europe are at risk of a "digital slip" despite recent initiatives. It calls for public authorities to restore a balance in digital-related policies, by benchmarking against best practices from around the world.
This document discusses transforming Europe's digital infrastructure through ubiquitous broadband and mobile access, compelling content and applications, and always-on connectivity. It notes that smartphones, widescreen devices, and video are driving significant growth in mobile data traffic. New fiber and wireless investments are needed to support this data explosion. Local authorities in France have played a key role in broadband coverage through public-private partnership models. The document calls for new investment models in Europe to achieve digital agenda targets and improve networks roll-out.
The document discusses several policy goals for Europe including raising employment rates, reducing early school leaving and greenhouse gas emissions, investing in research and development, and achieving a single digital market. It also examines topics like the ICT sector, digital skills, e-learning, privacy and identity issues online, and the work of the JRC Institute for Prospective Technological Studies in related areas.

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs

Will new pricing schemes and
the huge popularity of

16. 3. FTTX : hesitation and impatience
► FTTx: Europe lagging behind…
► The appeal of fibre needs to be bolstered by new tiered pricing schemes
and attractive content…
► No single European market has emerged as a model, each one offering
up a different view of the future
Underpinning telcos’ (and

is uncertainty over ROI and,
ultimately, the position of
telcos vs. OTT…
Stepped up rollouts in
2011-2012?
How will this affect the sector’s
