Digital signature certificates (DSC) provide a digital equivalent of a physical signature and can verify identity online. There are two main types of DSC in India - Class 2 for individuals and Class 3 for organizations requiring higher assurance. The government assures five companies can provide DSCs across India, like TCS and ACE Technology in Rajasthan. DSCs allow vendors, bidders, and others to electronically sign and submit documents from anywhere, reducing paperwork. The goal is to make government services more accessible online through programs like MCA21.

3.  Digital signature certificates (DSC) are the
digital equivalent (that is electronic format)
of physical or paper signature.
 A digital certificate can be presented
electronically to prove your identity, to
access information or services on the
Internet or to sign certain documents
digitally.
 Digital Signature also ensures that no
alterations are made to the once the
document has been digitally signed.
 A Digital Signature is a method of verifying
the authenticity of an electronic document.

4. There are following types of Digital
Signatures:-
1. Class 2 Digital Signature Certificate
2. Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate

5.  Class 2 A digital signatures for individuals
is personal certificate that provides second
highest level of assurance within the RCAI
hierarchy setup by CCA ( Controller of
Certifying Authorities) in India which is
mainly used for MCA21, ROC , Income Tax
e-filing, sign a word or excel file, sign e-
mail sent through Outlook and many more..
 Class 2 Digital Signature are also used by
Chartered Accountants or Company
Secretary for their clients, for himself, for
existing directors, for new company

6.  Class 3 digital signatures for
individuals/Organization is certificate that
provides highest level of assurance within
the RCAI hierarchy setup by CCA (
Controller of Certifying Authorities) in India
which is mainly used for e-tendering or e-
procurement or e-bidding.
 To participate in the e-tendering process,
every vendor is required to use a Class 3B
Digital Signature Certificate.

7.  In India, government of India assured 5
companies to provide the DSC in all
over the India. One of them is TCS.
 In Rajasthan ACE technology provide
DSC By a Premium RA of TCS.
 In Rajasthan the head office of TCS is in
Jodhpur & A premium RA is in Jaipur.

8.  In market there are two companies whom
provide the DSC :-
1.GEMALTO
2.ALADIN
But the Gemalto is the best in service

9.  Ministry of Company Affairs, Government
of India has initiated MCA21 program, for
easy and secure access to its services in a
manner that best suits the businesses and
citizens.
 MCA21 is envisioned to provide anytime
and any where services to businesses.
 It is a pioneering program being the first
mission mode e-governance project being
undertaken in the country.
 Because government of India wants to less
use of paper.

11.  For Vendors & Bidders:- if bidder have
device then he can fill tender from any
where, any time. Before e-governess if
bidder want to fill a tender then go to the
office & fill it manually by Allot of paper
documents, And if bidder want to fill any
tender in other department then he
needs this department’s Registration .
 A normal person also use it for his
Identity proof electronically.
