![Digital Delivery for a Digital Age<br />This week I only thought it seemed appropriate that I present my blog entry in a video format.<br />The instructional design knowledge base is a valuable website for both pre-service teachers to learn about the various teaching and learning strategies but it also acts as a constructive resource for teaching professionals who want to revaluate their teaching styles and better adapt to the needs of their students. <br />The second section of the website focuses on the appropriate media to deliver your pedagogy. This webpage is a helpful tool when thinking about TPACK and deciding which technology to match with pedagogy and content. This page outlines different multimedia, hypermedia, collaborative media and integrational media. <br />This week we were introduced to a variety of online programs we could use to deliver our PD Presentation. I have already experienced working with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Movie Maker, Animoto, Jaycut, Screencast-O-Matic, handheld video recorders and searching creative commons. However I took the opportunity to explore some of the other suggestions made. I explored designing avatars through Xtranormal. Here’s a sample of a piece we were going to use for our PD video but decided against due to the pixilation. <br />I also explored Camtasia Studio after reading recommendations in online forums. In found this program to be very helpful. I downloaded the free thirty day trial software and am able to video edit in detail, screen cast, webcam record, narrate and add effects. <br />In my own online research I discovered a useful document entitled Making Videos on the Web: A Guide for Teachers from Freetechforteachers.com. I was able to share the document through our Google group and also forwarded it on to a previous Practicum teacher. This is a really simple guide to simple movie making and is great for digital natives who need to print documents and hold them. <br />As for the progress of our PD presentation, we have decided to address the challenge of 3D shapes in the early year.
