2. What is a digipak?
• A digipak is a promotion package an artist
releases to endorse their album, and to give
their fans something more interesting and
novel than just a album on its own
• It contains extra features that increase its
appeal such a a cd for the music video or a
leaflet containing interviews
3. Typical conventions
• They usually have a colour scheme and typical motif that is
associated with that artist that brands the artist and makes
them more recognizable
• There is more information about the album and possibly an
interview or quote from the artist
• Unique artwork specific to the artist
• An extra cd containing the music video or behind the scenes
footage, interviews etc.
• A particular consistent font, that is maintained throughout the
digipak, wherever there is text
