Provides insight into life for students with exceptional needs through analogous comparisons with characters from the Teen Titans. Each character has an interview citing ineffective teaching techniques. Possible accommodations for each student are provided following the interview. These are all suggestions as every exceptional learner is their own individual, and their needs should take precedent over strategies. This presentation concludes with a short comic encouraging teachers and students with exceptional needs to have faith in their abilities so that they may flourish. This presentation is intended for educators and students. I do not own any of the pictures and have provided links to their appropriate sources. Links for the content have also been provided on the final slide.
To balance school and work is not an easy thing and I know it from experience. I managed to combine school and work and family and I know what it means to juggle the two.
The present power-point slide will give you a way 'how to deal the excruciating problems of failures'.
The way is totally novel and innovative and gives you a sound idea how to taste the sweetness of success.
i have read so many books, newspaper articles, magazines, my personal experiences and suggestions from experts, then only I am able to make this power-point worthy.
Feel free to write your problems, suggestions and comments as you like.
Bye and best of luck to your career!

1- I agree with you in regards to how we feel can ultimately impact the day in either A positive or negative way . Most often times we hear about people who have bad mornings, and swear that the rest of the day is going to be bad. This is not a fact, it is a perception based on how we feel about the day that can change the outcome of the day. I find myself having to check my emotions and reassess my thoughts. I try to control my reaction to situations, and not let that carry on for the full day. I have seen employees who have bad coaching and immediately the deemener changes. It is so important to be aware of our reactions to things. Sometimes leadership does things simply to see how we react almost as a way of determining our ability to cope with difficult situations.
2- Hello Class,
I have to agree with all of you guys. In my past younger years, I have been all of the above, came in already having a bad day and let it be the tone for the rest of the day. I have also been the person who came in having a great day and have the one person who just knows how to ruin everyone's day, steal my joy and turn my perfectly great day into a horrible day. Something I learned from experience and training, is to take the emotion out of it. No matter what message you have to deliver when dealing with employees, you don't get excited, they should not see or feel any attitude or emotions.
3- Job satisfaction to me means I am doing something I enjoy and am happy doing it. If I wake up every morning hating what I am doing and hating having to get up and go into work I will not do a very good job at best I will go through the motions doing just enough to not get fired. I know that is probably pretty low for myself but I can no force myself to enjoy what I do just because I am getting a pay check. I took a good $100 week pay cut giving up the factory job I worked to go into training people in strength and fitness.
4-I believe you answered a lot of your own questions and doubts when you said you got the promotion for a reason. Obviously someone has the belief in you and your abilities or you would not have gotten it. That in it should fill you with confidence going forward and to question these things I think is a natural response that most all of us share. With all that being said as long as your ideas are well thought out and planned you should never be afraid to share them. Good luck in your new job

All about me
I asked my parents to describe me and what they thought about my character. My dad said that he liked that I am hardworking and always thinking about my future. My mother thinks I am sweet and admires me because I always try to put on a smile. Three of my friends say that I am an outgoing person, sociable, likable and fun to be around. Most of them had good things to say about me. One of them said I am very competitive. Of course, some of these responses could be biased or a little insincere since I assume none of these people would want to hurt me in any way. However, I still believe that their thoughts about me could not be far from the truth. Personally, I think I am a very ambitious individual. I reflect a lot about my future. I want to be successful both in school and out of it. I always try to be positive even when being faced with challenges. I agree with most of my friends’ responses.
For instance, I agree when one of them said that I am very hardworking and competitive. This is true because I do not like losing, be at my job, schoolwork or fun activities, I always try to win. I do not completely agree when my friends say that I am always kind and outgoing. Being an incredibly ambitious person, sometimes I tend to push away the closest people in my life so that I can dedicate some time for myself and my son. I usually use this time to reflect on my dreams and how I am going to achieve them and what I will be able to offer to my son’s future.
I believe that it is completely normal for someone to want to improve themselves. I do it with good intentions. I do not do it intentionally to harm anyone, and sometimes I feel guilty whenever I decline my friends’ request to hang out so that I can work on myself but still believe that they understand and appreciate me and those who hasn’t stick around were not meant to be in my life.
My ideal self is a person who always strives to achieve what I desire but still dedicates time for friends, family and other people close to me. My ideal self is a person who is successful, trusting, tender, thoughtful, humble, determined, trustworthy and wise. Also, I desire to be tougher whenever I face challenges since I tend to think that I am a little sensitive. I would very much like to embody these character traits. I think that there is a lot of work to be done to achieve my ideal self but still, think that I am not far-flung.
My social identities vary. For instance, I am a member of a women association club. I am also a member of the parent’s club at my son’s school. Being members of these social groups has helped me improve my sense of worth, social skills and also meet relatives that I never met back in my country. I have different labels when it comes to different social groups. For example, as team leader at the women association club, I identify myself as a leader and ...

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

3. I wish that teachers would realize that I am going
through a lot right now and adjust their expectations.
Right now my priorities are not finishing my reading
assignment or writing a paper. My main focus is
learning how to deal with seeing both of my parents
murdered. I do not need condolences or apologies, I
need good role models and compassionate teaching.
I am so behind in my school work that I feel like I will
never make it all up. It would be nice if my teachers
could adjust what is required of me so that I don’t
have to stress about the mountain of schoolwork I
have to do and work on rebuilding my sanity. It would
be nice if teachers looked at what I needed for
success in my life instead of success in their class.

4. Accommodations and Practices Teachers Can
Implement to Help Robin
Offer a strong support system for Robin to feel comfortable expressing his
emotions and coming forward with problems. If it is feasible, lessen the
amount of stress Robin has to face by reducing the amount of homework he
has to make up.
Grief and traumatic loss counseling as provided by the school and state may
provide strategies to help Robin cope with the death of his parents.
Build peer support groups for Robin by encouraging peer tutoring and group
studying. Not only will this help Robin stay current with his schoolwork, but it
will also provide an additional support system composed of his peers in the
school environment.
5. Interview with Victor Stone - Cyborg - OI and TBI
I wish that people would stop making assumptions of what I
can do and treating me like a freak. I’m still a human and just
as capable of doing things as anyone else, it’s not necessary
to gawk or assist me. Accept that my circumstances may not
be typical but I am getting by just fine. My biggest issue isn’t
even the staring and lowered expectations, it is something
that people can’t see. That monster injured not only my body
but also my brain. Because of that I get dizzy and have
headaches constantly - I can’t sleep either. It’s a mess. All
the reading we have to do doesn’t help with this because
that’s when the migraines really amplify. I want my teacher to
be aware of my head injury and be willing to help me out.
Sometimes I need a distraction-free zone and I’ll be able to
get stuff done but other times I start to really lose focus and
need to finish an assignment later. Just be flexible with me.
6. Accommodations and Practices Teachers Could
Implement to Help Cyborg
Maintain a positive classroom environment and be optimistic about Cyborg’s
goals and desires for the future.
Determine environmental factors that cause Cyborg to have difficulty with his
school work (i.e. distractions, bright light) and minimize them as much as
possible.
Modify assignments and requirements based on the daily needs of Cyborg.
Some assignments may need to be less reading intensive to prevent Cyborg
from having migraines, others will have a longer time limit for completion.
Utilize literacy strategies, such as SQ3R, to assist Cyborg with reading
comprehension (Smith, 306).
7. Interview with Rachel Roth - Raven - ASD
I wish that people would not jump to judgements about me
as easily as they do. Yes, I believe that everything has a
place and an order, but that does not make me ignorant.
Yes, I have difficulty understanding why people insist on
talking about inconsequential things, but that does not
mean I should always be alone. I am rigid in my thinking
because that is how my world is. I have my own world
because this one continues to refuse to meet me on my
terms. Even so, I wish that someone would teach me how
to be accepted on this world’s terms. It is hard for me to
become emotional, so teach me to recognize it in others. I
strongly believe in the right and wrong side of rules, so
teach me to see the gray. Don’t just let me slide by in mild
neglect. Tell me the rules of your world if that is the only
way you will accept me.
8. Accommodations and Practices Teachers Could
Implement to Help Raven
Model correct behaviors so Raven understands what is expected of her in social
situations. She can then copy and practice the represented behavior to
appropriately respond to social situations.
Prompting may help Raven display the appropriate reactions to social
situations and elaborate on her statements.
Refer Raven to Social Skills Training so she can learn more about appropriate
social interactions and expectations. This training will also allow Raven to
hone the social skills that she has already learned.
9. Interview with Garfield Logan - Beast Boy - EBD
I really wish that my teacher would understand that I
need to move, when I’m forced to sit still I can’t focus
on my work. I don’t get up in class or change into an
animal to be a nuisance, I’m just driven to it. It is
something that I can’t control and would if I could. I
wish that my teacher would give me something active
to do so that I can finally do what she wants and not
upset her. This whole “working quietly at my desk”
thing is not something that I can do, especially when
she expects me to do that for a long time. Yelling at
me just makes me feel awful and stupid because that
is who I am and I can’t stop it. I wish my teacher could
see me as Beast Boy, not as a problem child.
10. Accommodations and Practices Teachers Could
Implement to Help Beast Boy
Use physical management techniques (such as preferential seating, allowing
Beast Boy to walk around when he needs to, and providing objects to calm
and occupy him) to keep the classroom environment orderly while not stifling
Beast boy.
Provide positive behavioral supports to reward Beast Boy for desirable
classroom behavior.
Modify the curriculum so that Beast Boy can complete examinations in an
environment that has reduced distractions, room for him to move around
without distracting others, and provide extra time to complete the test.
11. Interview with Koriandr - Starfire - Gifted
I would request that my instructors acknowledge the
extent of my potential and provide me with the
opportunities and the self-confidence to attain it. When I
believe in my abilities I am capable of anything.
Whenever I have doubt, my powers and abilities are
neutralized. Educational institutions should be havens of
intellectual exploration and discourse, with opportunities
for improvement in an environment of encouragement. I
beseech my teachers to allow me to pursue the topics
that inspire me while maintaining confidence in my
abilities. Do not seek to stifle my abilities or ignore my
achievements. If you stifle me I may never be able to
actualize my potential. Foster my growth, nurture my
potential, and I will thrive to attain the impossible.
12. Accommodations and Practices Teachers Could
Implement to Help Starfire
Offer a structured learning environment but open ended assignments so that the
expectations are known but Starfire has the freedom to pursue her interests.
Differentiate instruction by adapting content, process, and product to add more
complexity to assignments and challenge Starfire. Teachers can alter their
expectations through what resources and assignments they are giving the
student, and the final result they expect.
Create a positive classroom environment where Starfire may be challenged but
also feel confident in her abilities. Teachers can provide encouragement and
promote positive interactions between peers to attain this positive classroom
environment.
13. When we have acceptance, When our needs are met,
We are able to achieve the impossible.
Do the improbable. When our talents are recognized And
our weaknesses are minimized
14. We can blow everyone away. Don’t judge me for my behavior.
Don’t limit me for my looks.
Don’t isolate me for my experiences. Accommodate to our needs. We can surpass your expectations and succeed.

Editor's Notes
Accommodations and Practices Teachers Could Implement for Robin:
Offer a strong support system for Robin to feel comfortable expressing his emotions and coming forward with problems. If it is feasible, lessen the amount of stress Robin has to face by reducing the amount of homework he has to make up.
Grief and traumatic loss counseling as provided by the school and state may provide strategies to help Robin cope with the death of his parents.
Build peer support groups for Robin by encouraging peer tutoring and group studying. Not only will this help Robin stay current with his schoolwork, but it will also provide an additional support system composed of his peers in the school environment.
Accommodations and Practices Teachers Could Implement for Cyborg:
Maintain a positive classroom environment and be optimistic about Cyborg’s goals and desires for the future.
Determine environmental factors that cause Cyborg to have difficulty with his school work (i.e. distractions, bright light) and minimize them as much as possible.
Modify assignments and requirements based on the daily needs of Cyborg. Some assignments may need to be less reading intensive to prevent Cyborg from having migraines, others will have a longer time limit for completion.
Utilize literacy strategies, such as SQ3R, to assist Cyborg with reading comprehension (Smith, 306).
Accommodations and Practices Teachers Could Implement for Raven:
Model correct behaviors so Raven understands what is expected of her in social situations. She can then copy and practice the represented behavior to appropriately respond to social situations.
Prompting may help Raven display the appropriate reactions to social situations and elaborate on her statements.
Refer Raven to Social Skills Training so she can learn more about appropriate social interactions and expectations. This training will also allow her to hone her social skills.
Accommodations and Practices Teachers Could Implement for Beast Boy:
Use physical management techniques (such as preferential seating, allowing Beast Boy to walk around when he needs to, and supplying him with objects to calm and occupy him) to keep the classroom environment orderly while not stifling Beast boy.
Provide positive behavioral supports to reward Beast Boy for desirable classroom behavior.
Modify the curriculum so that Beast Boy can complete examinations in an environment that has reduced distractions, room for him to move around without distracting others, and provide extra time to complete the test.
Accommodations and Practices Teachers Could Implement for Starfire:
Offer a structured learning environment but open ended assignments. Because Starfire is a gifted student, it is important that she is aware of what needs to be done but has the freedom and the resources to pursue what she enjoys.
As Starfire is at a higher level than many of her peers, differentiate instruction by adapting content, process, and product to challenge gifted students. Starfire needs more complex work, lest she becomes bored, and so teachers can alter their expectations through what resources and assignments they are giving the student, and the final result they expect.
Create a positive classroom environment where Starfire may be challenged but also feel confident in her abilities. According to her interview, Starfire shuts down and does not perform up to her potential when she does not have confidence. Teachers can provide encouragement and promote positive interactions between peers to attain this positive classroom environment.
