Self-Esteem

3. Can you equally notice your strengths as well as your weaknesses? How?
Physical Appearance

Answer:
Honestly speaking, I often feel bad about myself whenever I encounter those few people who
are not appreciating my self-worth and capabilities. Especially when they assigned me to finish some
tasks and responsibilities that result in not meeting their expectations. But even though there are
people who think and treat me like this, still I can see myself in an objective and balanced manner
since I believe that it is not only me who has limitations and drawbacks. This means that I can equally
notice my strengths and weaknesses by doing self-assessment in a way that I can sort out my abilities
into disadvantages and advantages. Discovering these things in my life will enable me to do and
choose the aspects that will fit and suit my overall self. After getting the results of self-assesment, I
must say that I expected those since one of my concerns is on self-classified weight, that’s why I only
got a low interpretation in this category. In terms of physical appearance, I also often feel bad about
the way I look because of my overall body proportion that is too skinny. And every time I wanted to
wear some trendy and popular clothes that most teenagers wear today, I always resist myself to buy
because I admit that those clothes won’t fit me anyway. Even though I do admire a lot of celebrities

and models because of their unique beauty, I really don’t like myself to compare with them. It is
because I already understand that as an average, normal, and just a typical type of person, it is
impossible to reach their standards and qualities.
B. LIKING PEOPLE SCALE
Group belongingness
1. Do you have a group of friends that you can easily relate to? Do you feel like you belong in
that group? Why do you say so?
2. What do you like and dislike about your group?
3. Do you sometimes feel pressured to do things that you do not want to do? Why?
Answer:
Yes, I do involve in a lot of group of friends wherein I can easily found myself easier to relate with.
That’s why I can feel that I really belong in those circles of friends because our hobbies, the way we
think and act, our style and taste, the way we laugh at certain epic situations, and how we perceive
things are similar to one another. This was proven in the results from the self-assessment wherein
the verbal interpretation is low need for affiliation. What I like the most with our group is that
whenever a member of the group is facing his or her personal problems and experiencing downfall,
all of us are always there to comfort and help with our fullest extent just to make him or her feel
better and ease. That’s why I must say that I have nothing to dislike with my group of friends because
I already treat them as my family and I understand that each one of us has a unique personality but
the same attitudes and judgments in discerning things. The feeling of being pressured to the things
that I don’t want to do is sometimes I experienced when I engage in societal groups with random
people that I haven’t known that much. It is because I don’t know the way they think and judge things
that’s why I always feel terrified when I do the required things and act on situations and occasions.
C. RELATIONSHIP SCALES QUESTIONNAIRE
Relationships

Answer:
My relationship with my parents is very healthy and has always been great that’s why I am
so blessed to have them both beside me. But the results show that I have a dismissing avoidance
attachment style, meaning I don’t always want to depend and others, instead I will do and finish the
tasks by myself as much as possible. But I am very open to my parents wherein I am able to ask
guidance in facing situations and on how must I handle the situtations in the right way. I am also very
close to my friends that I can also open up my problems with them but the only difference is that I
don’t share some of my problems that are too personal and issues that are for family only. In 17

years of living, I haven’t been involved in any romantic relationships. It is because I believe that this
would just be a distraction in pursuing my dream career and finish my studies. Maybe after I settled
everything and got a job, I think I’ll be ready to engage in such romantic relationships.

Answer:
To be honest, I can say that my grades in those recent years have been good and I am very
thankful to God that I was able to surpass a lot of challenges and was able to taste the fruit of success.
And yes, even before I am already setting my goals in pursuing better grades and achieve a few
academic awards. After getting to know the results from the self-assessment, it has been proven that
I am interested to perform at school and finished tasks not because of an outside incentive or
pressure. The results show that I have a high and even extremely high in both intrinsic and extrinsic
motivations. In this subject, I am also currently doing time management wherein I usually make a
schedule to organize the given activities and I believe that I will still maintain this habit for the whole
year. Every time I see the hard works and sacrifices of my parents, that’s when I realize the most that
I shouldn’t stop facing any challenges and struggles in my studies. They are my motivation that keeps
me in stepping every ladder of my life. Maybe my dream career that I always look up to is the one
that keeps me studying because if I desired something, I always picture out that in my mind and this
makes me imagine how will it looks like if I am able to attain that. I believe that grades are very
significant in school because it is the basis of the student’s understanding and it also reflects how
much one’s have learned. Indeed, our grades don’t define who we are as a person. However, working
hard in order to attain a concrete credential is one of the ways to prove and challenge our abilities.

Answer:
After conducting a lot of research and questioned few professionals, I must say that I already
decided the college that both of my parents and I decided to go. This was proven after getting to
know the results from the self-assessment in which it shows that I have a very high level of career
readiness, meaning I am ready to follow the path of my own career choice. Since I started my junior
high school, I have decided about the course I wanted to take up that’s why I choose the STEM
curriculum that is for Engineering. Likewise, I also have thought about my career path wherein I
wanted to become a licensed Chemical Engineer that works in factory specifically in manufacturing
plants. The thing that makes me excited to wake up each day is that I know that I will spend time
again with my family and I always thought of acquiring another new learnings at school that helps in
molding myself. Spending a quality time with my parents and friends, taking a nap, eating something
that makes me happy, playing video games, and learning something new are some of the stuffs that
instantly makes me happy that’s why as much as possible, I always take a moment to enjoy those
things every day.
