This document defines and describes different types of film shots including aerial shots from above to establish locations, close-ups and extreme close-ups focused on a character's face, medium shots that show more than a close-up but less than a long shot, long shots that include characters and backgrounds, extreme long shots where people appear as small dots, and establishing shots that use long views to set the scene for sequences.
