SIN
Definition:
Sin is an important concept in Islamic
ethics. Muslims see sin as anything that goes
against the commands of God (Allah), a breach of
the laws and norms laid down by
religion. Islam teaches that sin is an act and not a
state of being. It is believed that God weighs an
individual's good deeds and against their sins on
the Day of Judgment and punishes those
individuals whose evil deeds outweigh their good
deeds. These individuals are thought to be
sentenced to afterlife in the fires of hell.
SIN
There are four kinds of sin
Sin of Attitude
Sin of Action
Sin of Neglect
Sin of Intent
CRIME AND SIN
The difference between sin and crime is that a sin
is an opposed to God’s will, and crime is opposed
to the civil laws, that we ourselves have put in
place.
According to Islam:
Sin is rejecting or breaking the Laws of Allah but
crime is breaking the law of the land, nation, state
or community.
Sin in the eyes of Allah can be forgiven but the
state authority does not pardon crime.
CRIME AND SIN
Sin is punished by Allah or others directed by
Allah but crime is punished according to law of
the state.
Sin is judged by Allah but crime is judged by the
court of law.
Sin cannot be hidden from Allah but crime can be
concealed from the state.
CRIME AND SIN
Sinners will definitely be punished in the hereafter
but criminals get their punishment in the world.
Parts of the body testify against sin but this does
not happen in crime.
When you cross the purview of a religious system
then you are called a sinner and the act is called
committing a ‘sin’. On the other hand a ‘crime’ is
basically going against the law of your native
state or wherever you are residing at the moment.
CRIME FORMULA
A crime rate is calculated by dividing the number of
reported crimes by the total population. The result is
then multiplied by 100,000.
