Elainne wrote several stories about her experiences becoming a singer, her mother making terrible food, wanting to be a nurse when she grows up, meeting Taylor Swift at a concert, and trying unsuccessfully to teach an unruly classroom of students. The stories describe positive experiences like performing for the president and meeting Taylor Swift, as well as negative ones like eating her mother's horrible cooking and failing to control her classroom.

Well, starting with how I met depression. At the age of 12, I lost my grandfather to Cancer. It was a shock for me to hear that my grandfather is gone. I still remember when my older sister came to me crying, and told me that our grandfather passed away. I pushed her and said no! You’re lying. I went to my mother and asked where my grandfather was. She hugged me and cried badly. I wasn’t prepared for at this sad news, because my grandfather was everything to me. I then ran towards his room to see him but I found nobody there. I started shouting and calling my grandfather. I used to call him daddy. I was shouting dadddyyy where are you? Daddy, daddy. But he didn’t answer me. Usually when I came back from school I shouted daddy where you are? And most of the times he was in the living room hiding behind the curtains, trying to scare me by making all sort of sounds. I knew that there’s no ghost over there, that it my grandfather but I used to overreact as if I was afraid and then he hugged me, took out sweets from his pocket and said” My doll is getting afraid, next time I’ll scold this ghost who scares my little princess. After that, we both laughed together. I used to tell him my whole day routine, everything I have done in school. All the stories and incidents that happened over there. And he used to suggest how to react in every situation. What’s good or bad for me? I was attached to my grandfather a lot. He meant the world to me. I remember when was ill. He was diagnosed with liver cancer. I was only 11 years old then, I didn’t know exactly what sort of this disease it was. My father used to take daddy to the hospital everyday, and I wasn’t allowed to go with them. Those days were worst day of my life. I used to write letters to my daddy that it was okay if I am not supposed to see you but I needed to you etc. He started chemotherapy therapy, and this was not an easy treatment to deal with. There are ups and downs. And there was a time came when doctors clearly said that he can die at any time. After listening to this life-ending sentence, my father cried badly. He used to spend his most of the time with daddy. One day, when I was back from school, my father came and said daddy is calling you. I was like oh wow now I can meet him after a week. And I rushed towards his room. As I entered he was lying on his bed, for an instance I thought that he is someone else. He was not looking like my daddy. He became too weak. And then I asked my father he is not my daddy. Where he is? My father didn’t replied but left the room while crying. I was staring at my daddy. And when he called me “my little princess come here” I recognized his voice. I ran towards him and asked what had happened to you? He said nothing I am fine. But you know one day everybody has to leave this planet. You have to make a promise to me that you will take a lot of care of your parents. You will become my brave girl. You will always consider what I taught to you. At that moment .

Out-door Show
On April, 26,2014, I went with Hussan ALmeels to Outdoor show. It was about; I think it is a cultural music. I saw yesterday many people dance in front of the music group. All of them were young. I think they were dancing cultural dance. I think it is cowboy dance. The show was at campus. I went there at 8:00pm, and it were done on 9:20. There were many people were setting on the grass, and watch them sons. It was at night. The weather was clear, and warm. I liked the music, but Hussan actually didn’t like it at all. In the show the parent were setting on the grass, and them sons were dancing. None of the parents were dancing. They were just watching the show. There were probably 90 people there. Before I went to the show I though it was a play. Like out-door play, but I surprised when I saw them singing. There were some songs that I like it, and there were some songs I didn’t like it at all. Actually, we set on the grass, and saw the show. It was really nice and new experience to Hussan and me. I took some picture for the show, and sent it to my parent in Kuwait, and they were surprised. They asked me what is that Aziz? I told them this is outdoor show, it is an event that the people of Cookeville do it from time to another time. They told me how much is the ticket cost. I told them it is free for all. They say wow we should visit you and see this show together. I also put some picture on Instagram (it is a program in I-phone) the people were surprised like they asked me were is that? I told them it is in Tennessee at TTU University. In my opinion that was a good experience to me, and new thing to me because I didn’t go to these event at my whole life. Actually I done know if there an event like that in Kuwait or not. In the end, I like it, and I would like to go to it again if there is one more.
Hi P,Mark
I went to performing arts center on Jan, 28,14. That was my first time that I attend a play in my life! It was a good experience. There was 6 women acting about a mother that bring a clothes for her daughter, and the girl didn’t like her clothes because she think it is an old style. The play was at 7:30pm and it ran to 9:30pm. The name of the play was LOVE, LOSS and WHAT I WORE. In my opinion, the play was good, and I liked it.

Less Miserables
At March, 28,14 my friends and I went to Less Miserables play. The play was located in high school backdoor. It was an old play, but I didn’t understand it very well. The play had many songs in it, but also it was a good idea to mix a play with a songs. The attendance were young and old people which made the play very excited. The actors were preparing for more then four months until they were ready to do it for the attendance. I saw at the back top in the theater a small room that controls all the lights. The play was telling a story about poor people and the.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
3. The Day I Became a Singer
I woke up in the morning in my pajamas, ready to start the day. I
went downstairs to write a new song. After a few hours, I was done. I
decided to play it on the piano and it was perfect. Later that day, I
had a phone call from my boss, she said that I have a concert and
have to perform my new song in front of the president. I was
shocked, I had performed in front of people but in front of the
president, it will be scary. So, I practiced and practiced until I got it
perfectly. When it was time for the concert, I drove in my sparkly car
to the house of the president. My heart was beating fast. When the
concert was over, the president said that I sound like an angel. That
was the best concert I had ever performed in my entire life!
4. The Day My Mother Made the Worst
Food
It was night time. My mother decided that we will eat at home
instead of eating outside. So, she went to the kitchen and started
cooking. An hour later, my mother was done cooking. Once I saw
it, I wanted to throw up. It looked like someone threw up all over
it. Then my mother said,” Dinner’s ready.” My dad came to the
dinner table and then the three of us ate together. My dad and I
didn’t want to taste the food but we had to. When I took a bite, my
face turned green and I threw up. It tasted horrible! That was the
worst food ever!
5. When I Grow Up, I Want to be a
Nurse
I want to be a nurse because I can help other people feel
better. I can help them by giving them medicine, vaccination
and other stuff that can fight the germs. I can also get money
and give it to the poor people that need it. I can also help
people with bruises, cuts, wounds and bug bites. That is why
I want to be a nurse when I grow up.
6. You Are Not Going to Believe What
Happened
Last night, the best thing happened. I met Taylor Swift! I
had a ticket going to her concert and I sat at the front seat.
When the concert ended, I got a chance to talk to her. It
was really awesome!
7. The Day I Became the Teacher
When I walked in the classroom, all the students were
running, screaming and playing. There was no way I could
teach them. But, I had to try. When class started, the
students were still playing. I asked them to be quiet but
that did not help. I couldn’t help but shout at the students.
That still didn’t help! So, I just gave up and went home.
