Alyssa is the narrator's 5-year-old baby sister who has had a huge influence on her life. The narrator feels the need to be the best big sister possible and be a role model for Alyssa. She loves visiting her dad's house to see Alyssa, who always puts a smile on her face.

2. Alyssa is my baby sister. She
is 5 years old. Alyssa had a huge
affect on the way I lived my life. On
the day she was born I noticed that I
need to be the best big sister I could
so that I could be a role model to her.
I love going over to my dads house to
see her she puts a smile on my face
every time she runs to hug me. She
always has me paint her nails, do
her hair and go swimming or play
outside. She has taught me a lot
from playing her tinker bell game to
making the best choices. I love my
little sister more than anything she's
my whole world.

3. My bird’s name is Rascal he is a
green cheek conure. I got him when I was 11.
I was out at dinner and my mom gave me a
book all about these types of birds. When I
got home I didn’t even notice the huge bird
cage sitting on my table! I named him Rascal
because he bites a lot. It doesn't really hurt
but he's very easy to take care of. I have to
change his water everyday and clean his cage
when it gets really dirty. Rascal eats a lot!
He's very cuddly when he's in a good mood. I
know when he is because he goes
underneath my hair to take a nap. Every
Christmas when we set up our Christmas tree
he hides and plays inside. Rascal loves to
dance. Its so cute how he moves his head up
and down while squawking. He was the best
present that I ever got.

4. Chuchu was my first cat. He was there
when I was brought home from the hospital.
Chuchu was so fluffy! He had a tan coat with a
with spot nose. He was so loving. He used to lay
on the arm of the couch and put his head on my
shoulder. We never could let him out of the house
and when he got out I was so scared. He was the
best cat and always caught mice. One time he
brought one into my moms bed! But right after
Christmas we noticed him acting weird. He wasn’t
eating very well and he's soft fur had become
ragged and he was sleeping a lot. We thought it
was just a faze but he began to get worse. Then my
step dad brought him to the vet. I kissed him
goodbye. I waited in my room and when I hear d
my dads car come into the driveway I ran
downstairs. Only to see him come threw the door
with and empty carrier. My heart broke and I was
crying for so long. The vet told my dad that he had
abdominal cancer. They said we could try surgery
but there was no guarantee that he would make it
even after that so they gave him the shot to put
him to sleep. He was the best cat and ill never
forget him.

5. I have 3 dogs. One named
Timmy he's the oldest, Hollie we got her
last year and Tucker. Timmy has been by my
side since I was brought home from the
hospital. I used to dress him up in my baby
dolls tutus and he loved it. Timmy is a
Chihuahua he has a white coat and brown
dots. He's getting really old now and its
hard to see him suffering but its hard to let
go of him. Hollie is 1 year old. She was a late
Christmas gift. She's probably the smartest
dog I have ever had. She loves to cuddle.
She has a tan coat. She's a sheltie mixed
with a silky terrier. My new puppy Tucker.
He's only a couple weeks. In 3 weeks he will
be at my house and I cant wait. He is a
sheltie mixed with a beagle and has the
same mom as Hollie. I love my dogs more
than anything!

6. Eva is my aunt. I don’t really have
that much to say about her because we don’t
have many memories, but she has been a big
influence on what choices I make. Eva is really
beautiful I love watching her teach her babies
things. She is a 4th grade teacher in Harvard.
When I was in 3rd grade she knew my teacher it
was really cool. She married my uncle matt and
that’s how she is my aunt. She had my baby
cousin Chloe who is now 4 years old and
decided to have my new baby cousin Amelia.
She's a really good mom and it inspires me to
follow my dreams because when she was
younger all she wanted to be was a school
teacher and a mom and she did it. Eva also gave
me my second baby sitting job to handle both of
my baby cousins it was a great experience. I
really admire my aunt for some reason I hope
that she knows that

7. Fires are a big part of my life
because I love to camp! Ever since I
was a little girl I have been camping. I
love sitting by it at night and even
during the day to make smores. I also
love spending time with my family so
this is one way we all bond whether
we are on a vacation or just in my back
yard. We all play catch fraise and its a
lot of fun and full of laughs. My family
is pretty crazy especially my cousins.
One time my friend Joe had a bonfire
and invited a lot of people from our
school. It was a lot of fun to spend
time with my friends out side by the
fire.

8. My grandparents on my moms side are
the sweetest people I have ever met. I love to be
around my grandma in Georgia and her husband
grandpa ed. They are just full of fun and
excitement. There is never a dull moment when my
grandpas around he's just so funny. One year he
remixed all the Christmas songs and put our names
in it! My grandma is so beautiful she doesn't even
look her age. I really hope that when I get to be her
age I look like her. It kind of stinks because I don’t
get to see them as much as I liked to. If I had the
choice I would be with them all the time. But I
cherish the week when they fly me and my sister
out to Georgia to spend time with them at there
house on the lake. I love them both so much! My
grandparents on my dads side are always moody!
But I love them anyways they give me all the love
and support I need to be successful.

9. Were do I begin with hockey its pretty
much my life. I have been playing for 7 years. I
knew how much I wanted to play when I went to
my little brothers first game and my parents got
me in right away. Hockey is my passion. I love to
get out on the rink and play against different
teams. My team every season has made it to the
championship and we have won 2 so I guess you
can say were a good team. When I first started I
was in the penguin league on the lightning number
2. Then I got to old and moved up to the beaver
division where I played on the bulldogs I was
number 22. Now I am too old for those so I am in
the cadet league. I play on the Hurricanes the
green team I am number 2 and I love my team so
much. We bond a lot and it really helps with our
passing and cooperation on the rink. I play defense
and when I got moved into cadet they began
teaching me offense so now I play both. We usually
get 2 to 3 new kids every season but we all help
them out and we grow as a team.

10. My inspiration is Taylor Swift. I listen to
all her songs and I know them by heart. Every time
I'm cleaning or im upset I just blast her songs in my
room. Any situation that I am going threw I can
always relate to her songs. Me and my sister always
go for night time Taylor Swift rides. Last year I went
to her concert at Gillette stadium. It was my first
concert. I was so excited. I went with my sister, my
mom and my aunt Kelly. She is very entertaining
she never has a boring moment. Everyone was
screaming and crying when she came out. She's
one of my biggest inspiration because she never
gave up on her dream no matter how scary it got.
My favorite song by her is “I almost do.” she is
absolutely beautiful from her looks to her writing,
singing and guitar playing.

11. Josh is my older cousin. He is the
funniest person I have ever met. He is crazy
and obsessed with fire. We go camping with
him and he makes the trip so much fun! From
catching frogs, yelling at random people to
playing with fire. One time he brought his
friend Corey with him camping and I had to
go to the bathroom so they went to walk with
me cause it was dark. Then josh decided to
run off with the flashlight and leave me and
Corey. We ran into a skunk! He used to look a
lot like Justin Beiber. One of the nights that
josh slept over we slept out side in the
camper and he kept me up until 2 because
every time I tried to go to sleep he would take
my pillow and blanket and throw it . But then
we made smores all night and fell asleep
outside. I don’t see him a lot but he definitely
teaches me a lot and I love him.

12. My mom always tells me
no matter what life throws at you
just keep smiling. Every time I
become sad I just think of what she
told me. When somebody hates
you just smile at them because it
kills them to know that your happy.
A smile can change a person mood.

hall when I see someone I smile. I
love making people smile its makes
me feel good inside

13. Leominster is my home
town. I was born at Leominster
hospital and moved away. I went
from Leominster to Gardner to
Winchendon and back to Leominster.
After my parents divorce I moved
back to Leominster and ever since
then I have been growing up around
here. I love going to Leominster
football games every Friday, and
going to the mall with my friends. I
want to move out of Leominster
though because I want to have a
fresh start somewhere new.

14. My step dad and I
My parents are my whole world. Everything I do is
because I want to make them happy. My mom Sue is the best
mom that anyone could ever ask for. My mom always comes first
in my life. I look just like her! Every time we go shopping or out
to eat people tell us that they thought we were sisters! I never

want to disappoint my mom in anyway. I hate when she's upset
because it makes me upset to. I love my mom more than anyone
and nothing will ever change that.
My step dad makes my mom really happy and he
completes our family. My step dad, Jake, helps my family out a
lot and I've known him for about 7 years. He got me into hockey
and that’s the main thing we do together. Over the summer I
help him with yard work and he helps me with getting better at
hockey. He helps me with my projects and to study and its

something I really appreciate. I love him too even though
sometimes I don’t act like it.
My dad Shawn is someone I love with all my heart.
He can’t really support me with money but he gives me the
support I need to be successful. My dad lost his job and didn’t
have one or a license for quiet a while. Now my dad works at the
Pepsi Company and got his license back! Words can’t even
explain how proud I am of him. He aggravates me a lot but at
the end of the day I love him.

15. Tyler and I have been best friends for 5 years! Tyler
is the most amazing guy I have ever met. He's
always there for me when I need him most and ill
always be there for him. His family is like mine and
my family is his. I helped Tyler with probably the
biggest change in his life when he came out to say
that he was gay. Everyone supported him and I was
so proud that he had the courage to come out.
Tyler is my whole world and everything a girl needs
in her life. He's over my house from 8am until 12 at
night and sometimes he sleeps over on the
weekend. Tyler always helps me pick out outfits
and does my hair and nails. Tyler can always make
me laugh no matter what the situation is. He has
held me when I was crying and seen me at my
worst. There's no friend that id rather hangout
with. We go everywhere together! Even if its just
to walk down the street. He's the most amazing
best friend that anyone could ask for.

16. I am a very organized person.
My room is always spotless and my
binders are always neat. I hate being
disorganized. My parents have me
clean my house 3 times a week. I
always clean when I'm bored. Before I
go to bed I have to make my bed to go
to sleep. I don’t know why I do that but
I always have. I like when things are in
the right place. All my cousins know
how mad I get when my rooms messy
so when they come over they lay in my
bed and mess with all my stuff.

17. I always think back to never give up. I think this is helpful
because if you just keep trying your going to get somewhere. Like in
hockey when I'm having a bad game I think to my self don’t give up
your team needs you and I continue my game. When ever thing gets
tuff I don’t give up I just keep going no matter how hard things get. My
family always helps me out so it makes it easier because of all there
support.

18. Middle School has been quite a
ride for me. From being the baby of the
school to being the oldest. I learned who my
real friends are and who not to trust and who
I can. A lot of people changed and got into
bad habits or just became a different person.
I keep my self out of trouble because when I
grow up and have kids I don’t want to have
to lie and say I never smoked, drank or did
drugs because I really didn’t. I learned you
cant protect and rely on people because in
the end all you have is yourself. Middle
school has brought me tears or happiness
and sadness and brought out the good and
bad side of me. It is definitely an experience
that I will always keep with me.

19. Quotes get me through my day. They are all over my room! There is a website
that many teens have called Tumblr that is were most of the quotes on my wall are
from. My favorite quote is maybe its not the happy ending its what's in the story. This
speaks so many words because not everything's going to be perfect there are going to
be some hard times but all of it happens for a reason.

20. Travis
Where do I begin with my brother and
sisters. Well Samantha is my full sister. We have had a
bond since birth. Samantha is 18, we do everything
together. We always go on drives in her car Roxy.
Samantha is a beautiful and smart teenager. I'm so
proud of her because she's good in school at her job
Alyssa and she stays out of trouble witch keeps me out of
trouble.
My baby sister Alyssa is 5 years old. My dad
had Alyssa with his ex girlfriend Tammy. She is a big
influence on my life. I always think twice before I do
Samantha something to make sure that it is okay to do because
Alyssa always tries to be like her big sisters!
Lastly my little brother Travis can be a pain
in the butt but I love him. Travis and me both love
hockey. That’s one of the big things we do together. He
used to be on my team but I got to old and moved up.
Travis is my step brother. My mom married Jake his dad
and they now live with us and we are one big happy
All of us family.

21. I was born September
10,1998. I was 8lb 13oz. I was born In
Leominster Hospital. I grew up in
Gardner. Then I moved to Winchendon
and Leominster. Ever since my parents
divorce I have lived in Leominster. When
I was younger my parents divorce was
the hardest time of my life. It was hard
to hear my parents fight and no longer
be able to come home to both of them.
I went to Winchendon schools and left
when I was in 2nd grade to go to
Leominster schools. My two best
friends were Hannah and Lauren they
were twins. Once I moved to
Leominster I made a new best friend
Tyler and me and him are closer than
two peas in a pod. I am very proud of
the girl I am today. A girl with high
honors and who plays hockey.

22. Every year my family and
I go to the Southwick zoo. My
mom and I love the monkeys! We
leave around 8 in the morning so
we can spend all day there. It’s a
fun time having my parents and
brother and sisters together. The
lions are beautiful and I love
feeding the deer. One time I went
with just my mom and step dad
Jake. I saw one deer that was way
up in the woods so I went to go sit
with it. I sat for a long time
feeding it. I love going to the zoo
because I love animals and I can
get a tan.

23. The sandwich lodge
in the Cape ` My family and I always go on vacations. We
try to go on them at least a couple times a year
One of the vacations I went on was in
Florida. We stayed at the castle hotel. I was about 6
years old. We went to the zoo there and watched the
fireworks in Disney World. I got to meet all the Disney
Old orchard in character and even got to go to Mickey and Minnie's
Maine house have breakfast with them.
Another one of my vacations was in old
orchard beach. I went with my best friend Tyler and his
Grammy and aunt. I'm very close to them and there like
my second family. We stayed in a really nice hotel and
we had it right on the beach. I was so peaceful and I got
The castle hotel to wake up to the sound of waves. It rained a lot that
in Florida weekend but we still went on the beach whenever it
was sunny. At night we would go out for dinner and go
on the board walk and to the carnival. It couldn’t get
any better especially the fact I got to spend it with my
best friend.
the one thing I always do is camp. I go with
Camping! my whole family. I love being out in the woods with my
cousins. We make the best out of everything and that’s
what makes it fun

24. There's a lot about me.
My favorite color is pink and lime
green. I love elephants and pigs.
When I grow up I want a tea cup
pig. Ever since I was a little girl I
have wanted one. My family thinks
I'm crazy because of it. I want to
be a physiologist. I love babies. My
favorite food is meatloaf. My best
friend Is Tyler Campbell. I hate sea
weed and my family throws it on
me at the beach. My sisters are my
whole world. I love my family more
than anything!

25. My uncle Todd is my uncle
from my moms side. My uncle is very
tall. He worked in the air force and
was always traveling. I got to see him
once in a while around Christmas
because he lived In Virginia and
Mexico. I have two cousins from my
uncle. Roland and Sebastian. They
both have their own kids with their
girlfriend so they can’t visit us often.
This year we helped him look for a
new house because he retired. He
moved in and now lives five minutes
down the street.

26. My role model is my mom. My
mom is everything I want to be when I
get older. My mom didn’t go to college
but she's the perfect example of a mom.
What really makes me look up to her is
the fact that she got threw a divorce and
raised two kids as a single mom. She
works everyday and comes home to
clean and cook dinner. My mom puts up
with a lot between my sister and I. She's
is the one person I never want to
disappoint. I keep my grades up and do
everything to my best ability so that I can
see a smile on her face. My favorite time
is going shopping and out to eat with her.
The times were its just my mom and I.
Everyone tells us that we look like twins.
My mom is the person that I want to
grow up and become.

27. From age 3 until age 7 I lived in Winchendon. I grew up in a
beautiful home with a huge yard to play in. I miss my old house so
much. I had my two best friends Hannah and Lauren living next door. I
spend my whole day playing outside with them catching frogs in their
swamp. My dad and I always would go to the 99 cent candy store
down town. There was a little old lady who owned it and we could get
so much candy for only five dollars! Winchendon is a very nice town
but its set away far from any stores. We lived on Harrisville circle. It
was actually a circle. It was a peaceful area with a lot of kids for my
sister and I to play with. I miss this house more than anything and I
would give up so much to be back there.
