Dhirubhai Ambani was a legendary Indian entrepreneur who founded Reliance Industries. He was born in a small village in Gujarat in 1932 to a school teacher family. After finishing his education, he moved to Aden, Yemen to support his family working for a trading firm. In 1958, he returned to India and started his own trading business. He later expanded into textiles and petrochemicals, founding Reliance which grew to become one of the largest companies in India. Ambani was known for his business acumen, ambition, and philanthropic work in education and healthcare. He left a lasting legacy in the Indian business world before passing away in 2002.
