Frederick Engels was concerned about the fate of textile workers and published "The Condition of the Working Classes in England" to document their conditions. He later collaborated with Karl Marx on works of social philosophy, including the Communist Manifesto. The document discusses Engels' analysis of scientific discoveries that established materialism as a system of natural knowledge. These included proving the transformation of energy, evolution by natural selection, and advances in chemistry that brought understanding of organic processes closer to explaining the origin of life from inorganic materials.

Catastrophism through the Ages, and a Cosmic Catastrophe at the Origin of Civilization by Martin B Sweatman* in AAOA
Developments in the Earth Sciences over the last decade point towards a great cosmic catastrophe at the onset of the Younger Dryas period, towards the end of the Paleolithic. It has been suggested this event was caused by a collision with a swarm of comet fragments, consistent with the theory of Coherent Catastrophism. Earlier this year, it was shown how symbols at the ancient archaeological site of Göbekli Tepe can be interpreted as supporting this view. This convergence of geochemical, astronomical and archaeological evidence has potentially profound consequences for our understanding of the emergence of civilization and ancient history.

A SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MATTER, ENERGY, INFORMATION, AND CONSCIOUSNESSijrap
This paper discusses the advantages of describing the universe, or nature, in terms of information and consciousness. Some problems encountered by theoretical physicists in the quest for the theory of everything stem from the limitations of trying to understand everything in terms of matter and energy only. However, if everything, including matter, energy, life, and mental processes, is described in terms of information and consciousness, much progress can be made in the search for the ultimate theory of the universe. As brilliant and successful as physics and chemistry have been over the last two centuries, it is important that nature is not viewed solely in terms of matter and energy. Two additional components are needed to unlock her secrets. While extensive writing exists that describes the connection between matter and energy and their physical basis, little work has been done to learn the special relationship between matter, energy, information, and consciousness.

THE LAW OF ENTROPY AND THE ACHIEVEMENT OF HUMAN BEING IMMORTALITY.pdfFaga1939
This article aims to analyze the possibilities of achieving human immortality in the face of the obstacle represented by the law of entropy that measures the degree of disorder in a system. Entropy in biological systems, for example, is explained when a living being, when performing work, part of the heat produced keeps its body warm, but a large part dissipates in the environment around it, causing a large fraction of the energy of its fuel sources are transformed into heat. The net effect of the original process (decrease in the entropy of the living being) and the transfer of energy (increase in entropy in the external environment) is a general increase in the entropy of the Universe. Everyone agrees that thanks to entropy, the disorder of life occurs, with galaxies sinking into black holes, stars turning into carbon dust, car and airplane engines wearing out and aging leading us to death. In June 2019, a team of scientists from the Technical University of Munich and the Max Planck Institute for Physics and Complex Systems announced that an exception to this universal rule had been found in the mysterious quantum world with the “quasi-particle” phenomenon that occurs in a series of endless cycles, making them, in fact, immortal. This fact continues to stimulate discussions about an ancient human desire: the immortality of the human body. In the past, man sought to overcome death through religions. In the contemporary era, people began to believe that it would be possible to overcome death through the use of science and technology. The year 2045 will mark the beginning of an era in which medicine will be able to offer humanity the possibility of living for a time never seen in history. We will be just a few steps away from immortality. Considering the speed of innovations, a person born in 2050 will have a 95% chance of living a thousand years. Will all this effort aimed at achieving immortality be able to overcome the forces imposed by the law of entropy? To what extent can the immortality of “quasi-particles” contribute to making human beings immortal? To what extent will science and technology contribute to the achievement of immortality for human beings?
The rapidly increasing interest in the quantum properties of living matter stimulates a discussion of the fundamental properties of life as well as quantum mechanics. In this discussion often concepts are used that originate in philosophy and ask for a philosophical analysis. In the present work the classic philosophical tradition based on Aristotle and Aquinas is employed which surprisingly is able to shed light on important aspects. Especially one could mention the high degree of unity in living objects and the occurrence of thorough qualitative changes. The latter are outside the scope of classical physics where changes are restricted to geometrical rearrangement of microscopic particles. A challenging approach is used in the philosophical analysis as the empirical evidence is not taken from everyday life but from 20th century science (quantum mechanics) and recent results in the field of quantum biology. In the discussion it is argued that quantum entanglement is possibly related to the occurrence of life. Finally it is recommended that scientists and philosophers should be open for dialogue that could enrich both. Scientists could redirect their investigation, as paradigm shifts like the one originating from philosophical evaluation of quantum mechanics give new insight about the relation between the whole en the parts. Whereas philosophers could use scientific results as a consistency check for their philosophical framework for understanding reality.

Physics X.0: Nobel prizes, Universal Principle, Mathematics of NatureAzamat Abdoullaev
We review Physical Science by formulating the universal principle of reversibility in terms of force, convertibility, unity, and mathematics of relationship.
The Reversibility Principle is advanced as the essential construct of nature integrating the basic natural phenomena and bringing forth a single strategy of physical science for the future Nobel Prize discoveries.
It produces a systematic modelling of diverse physical forces and energies, processes and phenomena to predict the ac-tions of physical forces and effects, to discover and exhibit natural relationships.
The fundamentality of discovery implies if there is the Faraday effect, Lorentz-Zeeman effects, Doppler effect, Einstein’s photoelectric effect, Compton effect, Cherenkov effect, Mössbauer effect, Hall effects…., there MUST be the Inverse Faraday effect, Lorentz-Zeeman effects, Doppler effect, Einstein’s photoelectric effect, Compton effect, Cherenkov effect, Mössbauer effect, Hall effects,…, by LAW, of Reversibility of Effects and Convertibility of Forces and Energies.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

2. Frederick Engels (1820-1895)
As the son of a German textile manufacturer who
owned factories in England, became so concerned
about fate of textile workers he published The
Condition of the Working Classes in England.
In collaboration with Karl Marx, Engels produced a
number of works in social philosophy, including the
Communist Manifesto which recounts the history of
the working class in a dialectical fashion based on
materialistic conflict.
3. Natural Processes science it self was, through the proof of the inter-
relation existing in nature itself between the various spheres of
investigation (mechanics, physics, chemistry, biology, etc.).
transformed from an empirical into a theoretical science and, by the
integration of the results achieved, into a system of materialistic
knowledge of nature.
4. A law in science is a generalized rule to explain a body of observations in the form of
a verbal or mathematical statement. Scientific laws (also known as natural laws) imply
a cause and effect between the observed elements and must always apply under the
same conditions. In order to be a scientific law, a statement must describe some aspect
of the universe and be based on repeated experimental evidence. Scientific laws may
be stated in words, but many are expressed as mathematical equations. Laws are
widely accepted as true, but new data can lead to changes in a law or to exceptions to
the rule. Sometimes laws are found to be true under certain conditions, but not others.
For example, Newtons law of gravity holds true for most situations, but it breaks
down at the sub-atomic level.
Scientific Law Versus Scientific Theory
Scientific laws do not try to explain 'why' the observed event happens, but only that
the event actually occurs the same way over and over. The explanation of how a
phenomenon works is a. A scientific law and a scientific theory are not the same thing
a theory does not turn into a law or vice versa. Both laws and theories are based on
empirical data and are accepted by many or most scientists within the appropriate
discipline.
For example, Newton's Law of Gravity (17th century) is a mathematical relation that
describes how two bodies interact with each other. The law does not explain how
gravity works or even what gravity is. The Law of Gravity can be used to make
predictions about events and perform calculations. Einstein's Theory of Relativity
(20th century) finally started to explain what gravity is and how it works
5. [Origins of the Varieties of Organisms]
But an essential gap still remained. If all multi-cellular organisms—plants
as well as animals, including man—grow from a single cell according to
the law of cell-division, whence, then comes the infinite variety of these
organisms? This question was answered by the three great discovery, the
theory of evolution, which was first presented in connected from and substantiated
by Darwin. However numerous the modifications in details this
theory Will yet undergo, it nevertheless, on the whole, already solves the
problem in a more than satisfactory manner. The evolutionary series of organisms
from few and simple to increasingly manifold and complex forms,
as we see them today before our eyes, right up to and including man himself,
has been proved in all its main basic features. Thereby not only has an
explanation been made possible for the existing stock of the organic products
of nature, but the basis has been given for the announced-history of
the human mind, for following all its various stages of evolution from the
protoplasm, simple and structureless yet responsive to stimuli, of the lower
organisms right up to the thinking human brain. Without this prehistory,
however, the existence of the thinking human brain remains a miracle.
Reading For Philosophical Inquiry: A Brief Introduction 5.
6. The theory of evolution by natural selection, which was first
formulated in Darwin's book "On the Origin of Species" in
1859, is the process by which climate change over time as a
result of changes in physical or linguistic properties can be
inherited. Changes that allow the environment to adjust to
the environment will be better and more sustainable.
Evolution by natural selection is one of the best evidentiary
theories in the history of science, supported by evidence
from a variety of scientific disciplines, including paleontology,
geology, genetics and biological development.
Example :
Emotional intelligence describes how well individuals can
manage their own emotions & react to the emotions of
others. Emotional intelligence needs to improve the quality
of life, such as overcoming conflicts, responding to the needs
of others, and maintaining emotions that interfere with life.
Emotional intelligence can be developed alone.
7. With these three great discoveries, the main processes of nature are explained and
traced back to natural causes. Only one thing remains to done here : to explain the origin of
life from inorganic nature. At the present stage of science, that means nothing else than the
preparation of albuminous bodies from inorganic materials.
Chemistry is approaching ever closer to this task. it is still a long way from it. But
when we reflect that it was only in 1828 that the first organic body, urea, was prepared by
Wöhler.
8. The materialist conception of nature, therefore, stands today on very different and
firmer foundations than in the last century. Then it was only the motion of the heavenly
bodies and of rigid terrestrial bodies under the influence of gravity that was thoroughly
understood to some extent. Almost the whole sphere of chemistry and the whole of organic
nature remained an incomprehensible secret. Today, the whole of nature is laid open before
us as a system of interconnections and processes which have been, at least in their main
features, explained and comprehended.
9. The first was the proof of the transformation of energy
obtained from the discovery of the mechanical equivalent
of heat (by Robert Mayer, Joule and Colding). All the
innumerable operative causes in nature, which until then
had led a mysterious inexplicable existence as so-called
“forces”—mechanical, force, heat, radiation (light and
radiant heat), electricity, magnetism, the force of chemical
combination and dissociation—are now proved to be
special forms, modes of existence of one and the same
energy, i.e., motion. We are not only able to demonstrate
their perpetual transformation in nature from one form
into 76 Introduction to Ethical Studies: An Open-Source
Reader Chapter 9. “Science of Natural Processes” by
Frederick Engels another, but we can carry out this
transformation itself in the laboratory and in industry and
this in such a way that a given quantity of energy in one
form always corresponds to a given quantity of energy in
this or that other form. Thus we can express the unity of
heat in kilogram-meters, and again the units of any
quantity of electrical or chemical energy in unity of heat
and vice versa. Similarly we can measure the consumption
and supply of energy to a living organism, and express
these in any unity desired, e.g., in units of heat. The unity
of all motion in nature is no longer a philosophical
assertion but a fact of natural science
