Director General Foreign Trade is a Government
Organization in India working under ministry of
commerce & Industry responsible for Execution of the
Export & Import Polices in India & Exim Guidelines
and Principle for Indian Importer & Indian Exporters of
the country.

The North-Zone provide faithful service
to the member of Trade & Industry by
implementing the Foreign Trade Policy
in a manner that is efficient, effective
and transparent. It would strive to

Exporter & Importer.
 DGFT permit or regulate Transit of
Good from India.
 DGFT also pay an important role in
controlling DEPB Rates.

7. Indian Foreign Trade Policy
 The policy aims to developing
export potential, improving export
performance, boosting foreign
trade & earning. Foreign Trade
Policy assumes great
significance this year as India’s
export have been battered by the
global recession.

closure small-and medium-scale
export-oriented units resulting in
large scale unemployment
