Engineering Assistance (EA) 
What? 
• Independent advice and assistance from networking experts 
• Network design and optimization, guidance on best current practices, 
and deployment of operational technologies, IPv6, etc. 
Why? 
• To assist and support APNIC’s members in the design and operation of 
their network infrastructure 
Where? 
• Within APNIC’s service region

• On a cost-recovery basis
Policy 
Contribute to the development of a policy environment 
that maximises the value of the Internet to the region

• Maintenance and transparency of policy documents 
• Facilitation and efficiency of policy support process

ISIF Asia 
ISIF Asia is a small grants and awards program aimed at stimulating 
creative solutions to ICT development needs in the Asia Pacific region, 
placing particular emphasis on the role of the Internet in social and 
economic development in the region. 
APNIC manages ISIF Asia secretariat, as part of its commitment to support 
Internet growth, to facilitate networking and information exchange throughout 
the Internet community.

Indonesia, Malaysia, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nepal, NZ, 
Niue, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste, 
Thailand, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Vietnam 
• ISIF Asia operates through a partnership between IDRC, 
Sida, and APNIC with sponsorship from APIA, ICANN, 
Internet Society, and Dot Asia
