The study investigates the development of phonological processes in typically developing 3-4 year old Kannada-English bilingual children, highlighting that these children exhibit fewer phonological processes compared to their monolingual peers. A total of 14 phonological processes were identified, with common occurrences of fronting and cluster reduction, while unique instances were noted among individual subjects. The findings emphasize the need for normative data on bilingual phonological development to assist speech language pathologists in identifying atypical patterns in language-disordered populations.
