This study developed and validated a model for a meaningful hybrid e-training program. A questionnaire was developed to measure meaningful learning, hybrid e-training, and learning style preferences. Data from 213 ICT trainees was analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The results showed that hybrid e-training has a strong positive relationship with meaningful learning. There was a weak positive relationship between learning style preferences and hybrid e-training, and a negative relationship between learning style preferences and meaningful learning. In conclusion, the study validated that integrating all components of hybrid e-training can help achieve meaningful learning, regardless of an individual's learning style preferences.

The sample has been taken on the random (Probability) basis and the questionnaire was filled by the faculty members (teaching B.Tech) chosen on the random basis from an affiliated undergraduate engineering institution in Haryana. For data analysis and conclusion of the results of the survey, statistical tool like f test was performed with the help of high quality software; SPSS. To conclude, the faculty members’ perceptions about the “Selection Process”, “Academic Excellence”, “Infrastructure”, “Personality Development and Industry Exposure” and “Management and Administration”, does not change according to their level of qualification in the affiliated undergraduate engineering institution in Haryana.

This paper reports on the findings of a study that attempted to respond to these questions and suggests a possible framework for the successful implementation of teacher training programmes that make advantageous use of appropriate ICTs. It suggests that seven fundamental principles of good practice should be addressed for such programmes to be effective: a shift from an emphasis on ‘education for ICT’ to the use of ‘ICT for education’; an integration of ICT practice within the whole curriculum; a need for integration between pre-service and in-service teacher training; a need for the development of relevant and locally produced content; a need for appropriate educational partnerships; accepting a practice driven approach; and an emphasis on the development of sustainable costing models. Build on modern notions of teaching-learning activities, the paper concludes with a proposed course of action to leverage the real benefits of ICTs for teacher education in India.

Forty-four (44) students from the two controlled groups were enrolled in the course for the first semester of school year 2017-2018 participated in the study. The findings indicated that respondents’ performance in ENGL118 (English Composition) had an effect on their performance in BUS261(Business Communication) and there was a significant positive relationship between year level and final grade in BUS261. Therefore, it was concluded that the year level and grade in ENGL118 have correlationson student’sperformance in BUS261. The results of the assessments of the two groups were compared and indicated a significant difference in the results which was influenced by respondents’ year level and mode of conducting assessments. It is further concluded, that if the characteristics of both groups were the same, blended would have been more effective than the traditional method.This study recommends adopting the blended pedagogical approach not only in BUS261 course but also to other courses as applicable.

This research study aims at highlighting areas that institutions of higher education need to focus on
based on student’s perspective for colleges in and around Udaipur, Rajasthan. It gets educational quality inputs
at the point of contact with students. This study is a descriptive research using a positivistic approach of
collecting (primary) data using the survey method with convenience sampling. College level students at the
under graduate and post graduate level were surveyed for this research. A structured questionnaireusing five
point scale was developed and data collected was statistically analyzed for a level of significance (α) of 5%
using a five point Likert scale. A total of 72 student responses from three institutions of higher education were
received. The study identified sixteen parameters/features important to students studying in colleges. On as
many as eight of the sixteen parameters, majority of students are not satisfied with college education. These
include: (a) Facilities for medical emergencies; (b) Industry exposure; (c) Placement support; (d) All round
development; (e) Opportunities for co-curricular activities; and (f) Facilities for sports. Besides these areas, the
following areas also require attention on priority: (a) Overall experience of students; and (b) Practical
knowledge of subjects taught. These represent the challenges that must be addressed by institutions of higher
education to enhance student perception of education quality

The study suggests that the College should ensure that employee’s day-to-day activities are aligned to the organisation’s objectives. In addition, the staff development programmes should be informed by the output from performance evaluation to address barriers which hinder effective curriculum delivery. This study explored the understandings, views and experience of the academics of the College in the implementation of the Integrated Quality Management System. The general observation is that the system is not effectively implemented at the College. Continuous poor work at the College shows that performance management is not effectively implemented. The study was conducted using a questionnaire to gather data that was then analysed to produce findings through given objectives. The findings were then used to come up with strategies for effective implementation for academic growth that will hopefully improve the throughput and certification rates. The learning model developed in this study is a whole series of presentation of teaching material that covers all aspects before being and after learning conducted by lecturers by including teaching materials in the teaching and learning process. The learning model developed is called QI MODELS with the syntax: Goals, Observation, Project, Discussion, Task, Practice, Meaningful, Justification, and Evaluation. Teaching material contains a set of material from the course "Instructional Media Design" that is arranged systematically so that lecturers and students can use it in the learning process in an atmosphere and a comfortable environment for learning. To see the effectiveness of the product an analysis of the learning outcomes of the 26 students taught using the Instructional Media Design textbook developed, and compared with the learning outcomes of students in the class taught with presentation material. Based on the analysis, the average value of basic competencies using instructional materials for Indonesian National Qualification Framework (INQF)-based Instructional Media Design is higher than the average value of students who use presentation materials. Testing the hypothesis used is a different test. From the calculation results obtained tcount = 7.63 while ttable = 2.01. Because tcount = 7.63>ttable = 2.01, it was concluded that there was a significant difference in students' learning achievement using Instructional Media Design textbooks and using presentation material. The effectiveness of the use of Instructional Media Design textbooks is 79.09%.
Problems such as impracticability and ineffectiveness are encountered in practice in-service training for teachers in Turkey.Although several suggestions have been proposed, the problems still remain. This study illustrates a new way for the development of in-service training, with high school teachers’ opinions, which is in-service trainings enhanced with adult learning characteristics. The participants were determined randomly and administered a 25-item Likert type survey. Results of the survey evaluated statistically by applying t-test and ANOVA. It is found that there is statistically significant difference between teachers in terms of gender, age, seniority and subject field variables. On the basis of the whole paper, teachers are enthusiastic to take part in in-service trainings enhanced with adult learning features rather than traditional ones. At the end of the paper, it is recommended that while preparing in-service training, demographic differences among teachers should be taken into account.
Educational Data Mining is used to find interesting patterns from the data taken from
educational settings to improve teaching and learning. Assessing student’s ability and performance with
EDM methods in e-learning environment for math education in school level in India has not been
identified in our literature review. Our method is a novel approach in providing quality math education
with assessments indicating the knowledge level of a student in each lesson. This paper illustrates how
Learning Curve – an EDM visualization method is used to compare rural and urban students’ progress
in learning mathematics in an e-learning environment. The experiment is conducted in two different
schools in Tamil Nadu, India. After practicing the problems the students attended the test and their
interaction data are collected and analyzed their performance in different aspects: Knowledge
component level, time taken to solve a problem, error rate. This work studies the student actions for
identifying learning progress. The results show that the learning curve method is much helpful to the
teachers to visualize the students’ performance in granular level which is not possible manually. Also it
helps the students in knowing about their skill level when they complete each unit.

Powerful data mining techniques are available in a variety of educational fields. Educational research is
advancing rapidly due to the vast amount of student data that can be used to create insightful patterns
related to student learning. Educational data mining is a tool that helps universities assess and identify student
performance. Well-known classification techniques have been widely used to determine student success in
data mining. A decisive and growing exploration area in educational data mining (EDM) is predicting student
academic performance. This area uses data mining and automaton learning approaches to extract data from
education repositories. According to relevant research, there are several academic performance prediction
methods aimed at improving administrative and teaching staff in academic institutions. In the put-forwarded
approach, the collected data set is preprocessed to ensure data quality and labeled student education data
is used to apply ANN classifiers, support vector classifiers, random forests, and DT Compute and train a
classifier. The achievement of the four classifications is measured by accuracy value, receiver operating curve
(ROC), F1 score, and confusion matrix scored by each model. Finally, we found that the top three algorithmic
models had an accuracy of 86–95%, an F1 score of 85–95%, and an average area under ROC curve of
OVA of 98–99.6%

The objective of this study was to analyze the intention of a University's business department students to continue their studies on e-learning platforms during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To this end, a questionnaire was developed to collect primary data from students in business fields. The study took into account more than 285 respondents from two different universities and relied on the expectation confirmation model (ECM) theory and the structural equation model. The partial least squares (SEM-PLS) method was used to analyze the data. The results of the study showed that task skills (TS) and task challenges (TC) were significant for the enjoyment (EN) of the students which in turn had a positive effect on the satisfaction levels. Confirmation (CON) had an impact on the post adoption perceived usefulness (PAPU), which was deemed positive for student satisfaction (SAT). The SAT and psychological safety (PS) of online learning platforms were found to positively influence the continuance intention (CI) on e-learning platforms. Finally, both SAT and PS of online learning platforms were observed to positively influence CI on e-learning platforms. Further research in this area could be useful in making decisions about promoting educational programs based on e-learning. The researchers recommend that academicians and policymakers must ensure appropriate arrangements for teaching on e-learning platforms.

The assessment of teaching quality in blended learning modalities has become a key element in the context of higher education. However, current evaluation systems present certain limitations. Behavioral scales overcome many of these limitations, offering an alternative for this task.
This study describes the process of constructing an assessment instrument with behavioral scales to evaluate university teachers in blended learning modalities, following the BARS (Behavioral Anchored Rating Scales) methodology. The design
process included interviews and surveys involving a total of 477 students, as well as a panel of professors who were experts in this teaching modality.
The behavioral scales in the final instrument highlight the importance of certain particularly significant teaching-related aspects of blended learning models, namely: teacher-student communication; learning resources; course design; and the teacher’s technical competencies.
The authors conclude that the final instrument provides clear and unambiguous feedback, enables the teacher to take specific corrective measures, and reinforces the formative purpose of evaluation in these modalities.

The quality of e-learning is a very important issue, especially when production technologies are concerned. This paper introduces a new fuzzy model for e-learning quality evaluation. All uncertainties and consequent imprecision are modeled by triangular fuzzy numbers. The quality of CNC e-learning process is determined by using the fuzzy logic IF-THEN rules. The proposed method derives an aggregated satisfaction value both for the participants as well as the trainers.The authors introduce a genuine metric interval for the objective evaluation of E-learning effect. The OLS regression model estimates the magnitude and polarity of Elearning effect on participants` perception of the training quality. The predicted coefficient of E-learning effect on the overall quality of CNC training is estimated to be14.88 measurement points with a negative impact on overall satisfaction. These novel findings shed a new light on the quantitative effect of E-learning on CNC machine training and contribute to the contemporary scientific literature within the research area.The developed model is illustrated by real-life data from secondary technological schools from central Serbia

This study investigated that the quantity of computer and ICT use in teacher education institutions is less and it is mainly focused on the learning of ICT skills which takes optimum time computers are used. The framework is then improved towards a new framework that can be effectively used to evaluate information and communication technology use in pre-service teacher education. In this study the independent variables are derived from computer use within the institution, some other extraneous factor may have impact on the results. Those factors may be computer use at home, friends home and cyber or internet centers by the respondents. The study concludes that the reality rhetoric gap of the impact of ICTs in teacher education institutions be evaluated from periodically to ensure that the quality with program objectives are met. The result shows that there is an urgent need to conduct intensive training to all the teacher educators in the colleges of education. The curriculum developers should develop global content for serving the local needs and make it to available to all the colleges of education online as well as offline content or blended learning modules. Several factors have been cited as responsible for low quantity of computer use in colleges of education. Some of these factors are; attitude towards new technologies, poor management, lack of local content serving local needs, shortage of equipments.

harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or

Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. ABSTRACT
Meaningful hybrid e-training experience
provides a coherent purpose for strategic
educational change through lifelong education
and the creation of a knowledge society. A
close examination of new hybrid e-training
programs however, has indicated a critical gap
between rapidly developing technology and
sound pedagogical models to determine program
quality. Therefore, the objective of this study is
to develop, generate, test and validate a 2 stage
model for a new meaningful hybrid e-training
program. The early framework of the model
guided development of a questionnaire to
measure meaningfulness of a hybrid e-training.
Data collected from 213 ICT trainers were tested
with confirmatory factor analysis using AMOS
7.0 to obtain three best-fit measurement models
from the three latent variables. Overall reliability
analyses using Cronbach’s Alpha, items and
persons reliability using the Rasch Model and
content validation by experts suggested that the
questionnaire is reliable and valid to measure a
meaningful hybrid e-training program.
Subsequently, the structural equation modeling
was applied to test the hypotheses. The results
showed that there is a positive strong
relationship between hybrid e-training and
meaningful e-training; a positive weak
relationship between learning style preference
and hybrid e-training and a negative relationship
between learning style preference and
meaningful learning. In brief the study showed
a substantial effect of hybrid e-training towards
achieving meaningful learning. As such, future
training regarding the use of hybrid e-training
should include all five components of a
meaningful hybrid e-training instead of merely
focusing on content. With results showing weak
relationship between learning style and hybrid e-
training and negative relationship between
learning style and meaningful e-training,
instructional media designers and developers
should now focus on integrating all five e-
training components to ensure meaningful
learning. It would be interesting to further
investigate as to whether or not learning style is
a mediating or a moderating factor towards
achieving meaningful learning via the use of
hybrid e-training programs as modeled in the
final results.

INTRODUCTION
Meaningful hybrid e-training experience
provides a coherent purpose for strategic
educational change through lifelong education
and the creation of a knowledge society. This
has led many institutions of higher learning to
endorse, fund, and even design or deliver
alternative educational or professional
development programs. The most popular of
these is the Web-based training program,
whereby trainers may empower themselves

through the acquisition of both explicit and tacit
knowledge. For Malaysia, introducing e-
training is a major undertaking, but it represents
an investment in the future productivity of its
workforce. A close examination of new hybrid
e-training programs however, has indicated a
critical gap between rapidly developing
technology and sound pedagogical models to
determine program quality.
With the advent of knowledge-economy,
embracing the concept of knowledge
management (KM) for lifelong learning (LLL)
as the foundation of a learning society, takes
priority. This is because people will have to
continuously update their knowledge and skills
to maintain a competitive edge in the global
economy (Sharifah Hapsah 2003). The
Malaysian Qualification Framework (MQF)
provides the structure for actualizing LLL
because it facilitates learners in selecting a
learning pathway that is most appropriate for
them (Sharifah Hapsah 2003, 2004). Thus, a
response was made to create an academic culture
capable of producing learners with qualities
ranging from competencies in soft skills,
intellectual qualities and affective attributes, in
addition to the typical technical and professional
skills (Committee of Deputy Vice Chancellors
and Rectors of Malaysian Higher Learning
Institutes 2006). The committee had drawn up
four strategies to successfully create the much
desired academic culture. This study will focus
on the third strategy by implementing an
updated, relevant curriculum with various
delivery methods. This focus set sights on
achieving the shared vision of the university that
is to create an academic culture comparable to
international standards at the same time, able to
nurture a holistic development of the learner.
In addition to the strategies outlined earlier, it is
also widely accepted that ICT infrastructure
enables e-Training. The technology may save
university administrators costs and add a
measure of convenience for learners, but
educators may reason that if e-training programs
do not produce workers who are capable of
higher order thinking and reasoning to solve
intricate and authentic problems in the
workplace, then the programs are not worth
much (Govindasamy 2002; Jonassen, Peck and
Wilson 1999). In the strategic planning process
to implement a new e-training program or
enhance existing ones, the focus should
therefore not be primarily on how technology
can be used to achieve educational goals, but
also on the human aspects of teaching and
learning (Rosseni et al. 2009, Rosseni et al.
2008). For that reason, the study focused on
developing a model for meaningful e-training
using the hybrid method to cater to learners with
differentiated learning style preferences.
The hybrid e-training (HiT) framework
developed in this study originated from a
credible model, the Demand-Driven Learning
Model (DDLM) by MacDonald et al. (2001,
2002). In the DDLM framework (Breithaupt
and MacDonald 2003), high quality content is
considered to be comprehensive, authentic or
industry-driven and well-researched. In relation
to the content, high quality delivery is defined as
delivery that carefully considers usability,
interactivity and tools. The DDLM defines high
quality service as service that provides the
resources for learning as well as any
administrative and technical support needed.
Such service is supported by skilled and
emphatic staff that is accessible and responsive.
High quality programs provide outcomes such as
personal advantages for learners with a lower
cost to employers while achieving learning
outcomes. The publication and dissemination of
findings on DDLM-based programs contribute
to theory and practice, and therefore, ongoing
evaluations will ensure the longevity and
validity of the structure standards proposed. A
consequence of the evolution of operational
definition of the components in the DDLM is the
need to adapt and improve the model and of
course, the evaluation effort should include
measurement of learning objectives specific to
the program being evaluated (MacDonald et al.
2001).

The objective of this study is to develop,
generate, test and validate a 2 stage model for a
new meaningful hybrid e-training program. The
early framework of the model guided

METHOD
The study sought to gather empirical evidence to
show adequacy of the meaningful hybrid e-
training instrument in measuring what it was
intended to measure. Accordingly, the study
utilized a measurement theory in resolving
certain pertinent assessment and measurement
issues. Specifically, the research objective is to
identify if a relationship exists among learning
style preferences (LSP), hybrid e-training
system (HiTs) and meaningful e-training (MeT).
Research hypotheses are as follows:
H1: HiTs influences MeT.
H2: LSP influences HiTs.
H3: LSP influences MeT.
The early framework of the model guided
development of a questionnaire to measure
meaningfulness of a hybrid e-training. The
questionnaire has three sections which assess
meaningful learning (α=.88), hybrid e-training
(α=.93) and learning style preference (α=.89).
Overall reliability analyses using Cronbach’s
Alpha and the Rasch Model (Table 1) in
addition to content validation by experts
suggested that the questionnaire is reliable and
valid to measure a meaningful hybrid e-training
program. Data collected from 213 ICT trainees
and trainers who are graduating seniors and
post-graduate students in the university were
tested with confirmatory factor analysis using
AMOS 7.0 to obtain three best-fit measurement
models from the three latent variables.
Subsequently, the structural equation modeling
was applied to test the hypotheses.
RESULTS & DISCUSSIONS
Distribution of major learning styles among the
respondents as indicated by the results are as
follows: (i) visual - 37.7% (n=80), (ii) group -
25.8% (n=55), (iii) individual - 13.6% (n=29),
(iv) auditory - 12.2% (n=26), (v) kinesthetic -
8% (n=16) and (vi) tactile - 2.8% (n=6). This
shows that majority of the learners in this study
were visual and group learner. Figure 1 further
shows results of structural relationships among
the use of hybrid e-training (HiTs), meaningful
e-training (MeT) and learning style preferences
(LSP). The study was able to validate the hybrid
e-training components (content, delivery,
service, outcome and structure) as proposed in
the original model (McDonald et al. 2001) and
various literature. The study also offered
evidence that the five-dimension measurement
model for HiTs did generate the data collected
from computer trainees who hailed from various
Asian countries. The result did not establish any
basis which can be used to claim that the HiT
model is incorrect, even when used in a different
cultural setting among culturally diverse
learners.
The study was also able to validate the
meaningful e-training attributes (cooperativity,

results for MeT did not establish doubts to claim
that the MeT model is incorrect, even in a
different cultural setting (Hair et al. 2006).
For the third latent factor, the study was also
able to validate five out of the six learning styles
(visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactual, group,
individual) as proposed by Reid (1984) and
various literatures about learning style (Kappe et
al. 2009; Isemonger 2008; Rosmidah 2008;
Dunn and Dunn 1978, 1979, 1993; Reid 1987,
1984). It offered evidence that the new five-
dimension measurement (five out of the six
dimension mentioned earlier excluding the
individual dimension) model did generate the
data collected from computer trainees and
trainers whose origins were from various Asian
countries. Analogous to the results for HiT and
MeT, the validity tests results for LSP did not
establish doubts to claim that the new LSP
model is incorrect, even in a different cultural
setting (Hair et al. 2006).
In reference to Figure 1, the study further shows
that there was a strong positive relationship
between hybrid e-training and meaningful e-
training with a path coefficient of .49. In other
words, as hybrid e-training increases,
meaningful learning in the MeT courses
increases. The results also indicated a weak
positive relationship between learning style
preferences and hybrid e-training with a path
coefficient of .15. In other words, as a preferred
learning style dominates a learner’s style of
learning, the hybrid e-training environment
becomes slightly useful to the training
experience. There was however, a negative
relationship between learning style preferences
and meaningful learning with a path coefficient
of -.25. This shows that the e-training

experience becomes more meaningful when the
learner is influenced by a lesser degree of a
particular learning style preference. In other
words, learning is affected by learning style
preferences whereby in the case of students who
are able to employ multiple learning styles,
learning outcome is higher (Felder 1995; Reid
1987).
Factor loadings in the final revised model were
substantially significant with CFI = .94, TLI =
.93 and RMSEA = .08. The statistics indicate
that the parameters were free from offending
estimates, ranging from .52 to .95. The CFI
(.94) and TLI (.93) fit indicators exceeded the
threshold of .90, indicating a good fit (Hair et al.
2006; Kline 2005). The root-mean square error
of approximation (RMSEA=.08) met the cut-off
point requirement for a reasonable error of
approximation (Hair et al. 2006; Kline 2005).
The normed chi-square (χ2
) of 2.471 for a good
fit was also met (Hair et al. 2006; Kline 2005)..
The final fit index indicates that the test failed to
reject the hypothesized model. As such, the
researcher concluded the model in Figure 1 to be
the validated structural equation model.
Research objective, therefore, was answered
where the hypotheses testings failed to reject the
three statements (HiT influence MeT; LSP
influences HiT; LSP influences MeT).
CONCLUSION
Successful applications of hybrid e-training at
the tertiary level depend on many factors
especially the policy governing its
implementation and issues in its applications.
To come to that point, a model for appropriate
infrastructure, content, delivery method, service
and outcome needs to be validated and tested.
Consequently, all validated measurement models
were again tested in a second stage full-fledge
structural equation model to see its influence on
learners’ perception of what constitutes
meaningful e-training and how learning style
effects hybrid e-training. The results of the
present study are relevant to give insights for
theorists, trainers, academic staff and knowledge
management system designers and developers
towards the goal of achieving meaningful
learning in the overall process of training or
teaching and learning. It was shown that hybrid
e-training had a substantial effect towards
achieving meaningful learning. As such, future
training regarding the use of hybrid e-training
should include all five components of a
meaningful hybrid e-training instead of merely
focusing on content or activities such as
uploading and downloading e-training materials.
With results showing weak relationship between
learning style and hybrid e-training and negative
relationship between learning style and
meaningful e-training, instructional media
designers and developers should now focus on
integrating all five e-training components to
ensure meaningful learning. In conclusion, the
researchers strongly suggest that future research
to be done to further investigate as to whether or
not learning style is a mediating or a moderating
factor towards achieving meaningful learning
via the use of hybrid e-training programs as
modeled in the final results.
