The circulatory system is a system that controls the flow of the blood and maintain good life balance with some help of some particular organs.

Detailed Parts of the Heart (The Circulatory System)
1. PARTS OF THE HEARTS
Report by: Group 4
Submitted to: Mrs. Lilian L. Dumago
2. We all know that the Heart
has an important role in our
body. Some people said that
heart is important because
without this particular organ,
we can’t live.
3. We have a small entertainment
activity. Are you IN or OUT?
First raise your right hand
Put your right hand into the
left part of breast. What can
you feel?
5. Superior vena cava or SVC
is the superior of the two
venae cavae, the great
venous trunks that return
deoxygenated blood from
the systemic circulation to
the right atrium of the heart.
The diameter is (24 mm)
6. Pulmonary Valve is the
semilunar valve of the heart
that lies between the right
atrium and left atrium. It
allows the blood to leave via
arteries.
7. Right Atrium is one of the
four chambers of the heart.
It hold and receives
deoxygenated blood enters
the right atrium through the
inferior and superior vena
cava. Then it sends down to
the right ventricle.
8. Tricuspid valve or right
atrioventricular valve is the
on the right dorsal side of
the human heart. It helps to
prevent back flow of blood
into the right atrium.
9. Right Ventricle is the
chamber within the heart
that is responsible for
pumping deoxygenated
blood from the atrium and
pumps it under low pressure
into the lungs via the
pulmonary artery.
10. Aorta is the main artery of
the body, supplying
oxygenated blood to the
circulatory system. It passes
from over the heart from the
left ventricle.
11. Pulmonary artery is the
artery carrying blood from
the right ventricle of the
hearts to the lungs for
oxygenation.
12. Left Atrium is one of the
four chambers of the heart,
located on the left posterior
side. It helps as a holding
chamber for blood returning
from the lungs and to act as
a pump to transport blood to
other areas of the heart.
13. Aortic valve is a valve in
the human heart between the
left ventricle and the aorta.
It opens and hold the blood
and to leave the heart from
the left ventricle to the aorta
and on to the body.
14. Left Ventricle is a chamber
wherein oxygenated blood is
stored or hold from the left
atrium via the mitral valve
and pumps it through the
aorta via aortic valve, into
the systemic circulation.
15. Septum is a stout wall
separating the right ventricle
and left ventricle.

18. Game Time!
It’s time to have a game called
where’s that part. Are you ready?
It is part of the lesson also.
