This document discusses the benefits of making artworks from the collection of the Statens Museum for Kunst (SMK) freely available online under Creative Commons licenses. It notes that SMK has released images of 159 artworks under CC BY, allowing Wikipedia to write better articles about the artists, artworks, and motifs depicted. Making these images available online increases access to Denmark's cultural heritage. The document encourages people to make use of and engage with the museum's collection.
