The paper presents the Low Latency Weighted Round Robin (LL-WRR) scheduling scheme, aimed at improving latency and fairness in high-speed wireless networks while maintaining low implementation complexity. It addresses the limitations of existing scheduling algorithms like Weighted Round Robin (WRR) by proposing a modified approach that adjusts scheduling based on a coefficient dependent on the number of active connections. Simulation results demonstrate that LL-WRR offers reduced latency and enhanced fairness for real-time traffic without significant additional computational overhead.
