This document defines inquiry, investigation, and immersion as applied subjects in the Philippine K-12 curriculum. Inquiry is defined as the systematic search for information through research and questioning. Investigation is the systematic examination of facts about a matter through thorough inspection and assessment. Immersion is becoming completely involved in an activity or interest, allowing researchers to gain more information than through other methods.

INVESTIGATION AND IMMERSION

2. Inquiries, Investigation and Immersion is an
applied subject included in the K-12 basic
education SHS Curriculum.
- This subject will develop the critical thinking
and problem- solving skills of SHS students
through qualitative and quantitative researches.

3. INQUIRY- the systematic search for
information, knowledge and truth about certain
things.
- it is a process of solving a problem through
researching and probing. It involes questioning
and interrogations.

4. INVESTIGATION- the systematic examination
to uncover facts regarding a matter.
- is done carefully and by thoroughly inspecting
details in organized manner and assessing
facts which are uncovered in the process.

5. IMMERSION- the act of becoming completely
involved in something like activity or interest.
- the payoff of immersion is usually immense as
the researchers can gain more information than
through other methods.

6. When we are inquiring, we ask questions like
what we do when we interview someone. In
investigation, we examine something, while
immersion is the act of being involved in an
activity.
