Deaerator
 Used for removal of dissolved gases
 Remove oxygen down to level of 7ppb
 Essentially eliminate carbon dioxide
Techniques used to dissolved gases
 Mainly two types of techniques are used.
i. Reduce the pressure
i. Rise the temperature to saturation
Deaerator Types
 Tray type
It involved:
i. Vertical deaeration section
ii. Horizontal cylindrical vessel
 Spray type
Horizontal cylinder that serve both
i. deaeration section
ii. Storage tank
Control system
There are three types of control system.
i. Deaerator level control
ii. Modified level control
iii. Deaerator pressure control
