Networking Experience (complete one for each event and upload to your blog in the suitable post) Introduction to Creativity – David Puttnam – Online – 2nd November 2022 It was with Lord David Puttnam, he is a bafta award winning producer for many movies he has helped created and bring to the big screen. David Puttnam is a producer that has worked for many different companies such as Columbia. Sagittarius productions and many more to bring to life movies. He has one many baftas for his producing for many movies. He started in the film industry in 1960s working for a production company and first featured as he produced melody tv show, scripted by Alan parker which was a minor hit for him. Later Puttnam had a box office success with the musical Bugsy Malone alongside Alan parker who directed and written it. David went on to produce many more films and ended up winning an academy award for best picture for 5 movies he produced. I learnt a lot from his online seminar about the media industry and how they go from talking and creating an idea to how they are able to put it on the big screen. He talked a lot about the old movies he started out on and give much information about his journey through the industry. I gained a lot of information about how there are many roles in the media industry that are very important in order to make a tv show or a movie work such as producer, costume, director, actor, camera crew and many more roles. As I currently on a project about creating an idea to the screen, he give me much guidance throughout the seminar as he spoke how a script is very important and how everything need to be cohesive together. He mentioned a lot about his friends, who are also in the media industry and how the littlest thing they said had changed him for the better. He mentions that his friends were able to guide him in media industry.
