: Duties and Responsibilities
1. Custodian ‘Guardian’ of the credit policy and procedures
- He ensures that any deviation from the standard policies and procedures is early
detected and corrected
- Based on his experience, he recommends any changes in policies and procedures
- Compiles, disseminates, and monitors implementation of lending policies,
procedures. (especially regarding classification and recovery of outstanding
portfolio)
2. Risk Management
- Monitor risk concentration as per the policy guidelines and benchmarks
- Recommend measures to prevent or mitigate portfolio related risks
3. Planning and Development
- Plans, initiates and follows-up strategies for portfolio development and recovery
of loans
- Conduct market surveys and identifies new and viable markets for lending
business.
- Initiates plans for recruitment, training and development of credit officers in
accordance with the loans portfolio development and makes recommendations
to the Branch Managers and the Human Resource Manager
- Reviews lending policies and procedures on a regular basis and submits
appropriate improvement plans and strategies
- Coordinates all recovery activities and ensures prompt recovery
4. Operations
- Monitors and controls the performance of all loans including staff loans
- Follows-up evolution of arrears rate on a weekly basis and analyses arrears rate
on a monthly basis
- Monitors any exceptions to credit policies and provides monthly reporting to MC
on the performance of such loans
- Coordinates all recovery activities and ensures prompt recovery
- Devises and keeps to, roster for regular visitations of branches in order to assess
lending performance
- Monitors the application of loan accounting system in all branches and ensures
that loan account balance, commissions and interest are properly calculated
- Submits monthly and quarterly credit statistics and reports on overall loan
portfolio performance to the CEO after having crosschecked the accuracy of the
data.

Duties
 Ensures staff adhere to relevant operation policies with specific emphasis on savings,
credit, ICT and human resource manual
 In charge of general security of the office
 Build and nature customer relation and handle customer relations
