The Data Center Management feature of System Area Manager allows users to view and manage policies for supported systems. It displays a list of all systems where individual system policies can be viewed and edited. Policies can limit a system's wattage or only apply when sensor thresholds are exceeded. Users can also configure when policies are enforced.

The Data Center Management feature of System Area Manager can be
used for supported systems with IPMI Node Manager 1.1 or 2.0. To access
this feature, select Data Center Management from the drop down menu.

Every supported system will be listed
Click the blue link next to the system to view any policies for that system

Once you click on the link for a specific system, you will see the policy list
on the next screen.

If you click the radio box next to a policy you can edit or delete the policy by
pressing the appropriate button at the bottom

4. Creating a Policy

Enter a name for the new policy.
You can limit the entire system
to a specified number of watts
You can also select a sensor
policy where the policy only
applies when a sensor threshold
is exceeded.
You may configure if the policy
is Always Enabled, or only
enforced during a certain period
of time
