1. Select your data
What to do:
1. Once you have logged you will find you web page.
To mashup the data, you will first need to select
what data you want to use from the Open
Catalogue.
2. On the top right hand side of the page is an action
box titled “Go to edit.”
3. Click the drop arrow and select “Open Catalogue as
a New Page.”
2. What to do:
1. Once you are on the Catalogue Home Page, go to
the search box on the left hand side of the screen
and type in the subject of the data you want you
find.
2. After typing in the subject a list of the results will
appear.
3. From here click on hyperlink title of the data page
you want to use, and then click on the Add” drop
key and select “Mashup Builder”.
3. Download your data
What to do:
1. Once on the “Add to Mashup Builder” page pick a
place to put the widget so you can find it on your
page. E.g. if you have chosen Google maps a good
category to keep this would be “Tools”.
2. Once you have filled in all these fields click “Finish”
and then return to your space. Next click on the
“Refresh” icon.
3. Please note, when you refresh the page any data
selected to your page will not be saved there until
you have saved your work.
4. Open the widgets on your page
What to do:
1. First make sure you are in Edit mode, by clicking on
the drop key if it says ”Go to Edit”, and selecting ”Go
to Edit”.
2. To open the widgets onto your page you need to click
on the category you placed it under, for example
“Demo” or “Tools”. Next click on the “Add to Current
Page” which is a Screwdriver icon.
3. Once you have done this for all of your widgets you
can now mesh them together.
5. Wire your widgets together
What to do:
1. Once you have done this for all of your widgets you
can now mesh them together.
2. If the dataset you have chosen is receiving data then
you click on the blue “Receive” box and then select
the “Pink text” widget which you want to mesh with
the widget you have just clicked on.
3. The dataset you select from the list will turn pink.
Now choose the content you want to come up. For
example “title” and “Address”. Once you have done
this click “Done”.
6. Test and Save
What to do
1. You can repeat this process again if you have more
than two widgets.
2. Your mashup should now be completed, so this is
when you can test whether it has all worked.
3. Finally click the “Save” icon on the top right hand side
of your page for you to save this mashup.
