A Film Production undergraduate with a high degree of diverse skills gained from numerous jobs and
experiences. Became very proficient at fast practical filmmaking from filming and editing Indian weddings.
An avid traveller who loves to experience different cultures, holds a TEFL qualification and has taught
English in China. I am trying to get positions within the camera department and to find outlets I can
publish my writing through to help me reach my goal of becoming a video journalist.

Filmmaking & Journalism Employment & Work Experience
 Wedding Videographer and Editor at Eternal Wedding Films in London from Mar 16 to Jun 16
In this role, I filmed Indian weddings and edited them into the feature film and highlights DVD back
at the editing room. I profoundly improved as a cameraman and editor from this role, finding
myself able to operate and execute decisions at great speed. I learned how to operate monopods,
sliders, gimbals, a Glidecam and becoming very efficient with using Final Cut Pro X.
 Graphical Designer and Journalist at What’s Happening Magazine in Brighton from Jul 14 to Mar 15
An internship that along with experience and published work I managed to gain some
qualifications. I become proficient in using InDesign with my time at WHM initially doing
photography and the graphic design on their article spreads. I then started to publish journalistic
work for them. I wrote film reviews and articles, my favourite article I did during my time at WHM
was an idea I pitched to my editor to go and interview a projectionist working at the Duke of York’s
Picturehouse in Brighton, one of the last projectionists within a dying trade.

presenting the graphs and correlations in presentable ways via presentations for the rest of the

Teaching small classes of GCSE English and Science to children who are struggling at school.
Planned and delivered lessons along with setting and marking homework.
 Teacher (English as a second language) in Dongguan, China on Jul 16
Taught English to a class of over 30 Chinese 8-year-olds, this role included having to plan lessons
independently, and deliver them effectively in a manner that was interesting and engaging for the
whole class. The experience was phenomenal and hugely rewarding to see results come from my
