Research project:
How do we consume digital technology nowadays?
Connectivity:
Connectivity is when you have the ability to exchange information by electronic means.
Convergence:
Convergence, is when you link technologies, with media content. For example, when you use a
camera, to record a movie.
Interactivity:
Interactivity refers to media products, which is based on a digital computer based system. For
example, these days you don’t need to send letters and wait a while, you can just use a phone such as
an iPhone, and socialise within seconds.
Personalisation:
Personalisation is when you adapt interfaces. For example, when you create your own blog, and make
things to your own preference and also, when you create a username you like.

My mum has an iphone 6s. It has many feautures such as the unliocking finger print, the 3d touch and many other fesutures.
She uses apps such as: Facebook, Whatsapp and imo. These apps are very important to her, as she communicates with her
family on the other side of the world and uses it everyday. This device is very useful for her, as she can communicate with them
within seconds.
Sister:
My sistrer has an iphone 6. it has similar feautures to the iphone 6s. She uses apps such as: inastagrma, snapchat and
whatsapp. These apps are important to her, as she can socialise with her friends, and she uses this everyday. Althought its
important, she feels as if she gets distrscted very easily, as she get carried away sometimes.
Little sister:
My litte sister uses my mums phone. She uses the youtube app, and watches videos on it. She feels as if its important to her.
We feel as if she gets addicted to it very quickly, so my mum doesn’t give it to her too often; only a few times in a week.
Brothers:
My brothers aren’t allowed any gadgets, as my parents are scared they’ll get addicted. So instead they use things like, the ps3
and other games. When they're bored, they use the laptop or computer. They watch videos on YouTube, and also use it a few
times a week. It isn’t that important to them, as they only use it out of boredom.

- Advantages: Things are done quicker, and you don’t have to wait too long.
- Disadvantages: It’s a distraction, and decisions can be rushed.
