Dan has over 18 years of experience in the procurement, distribution, and management of healthcare products and processes. He has design, implementation, and leadership experience in integrated logistics to include supplies, waste, laundry, linen, mail, transportation, blood and other healthcare logistical requirements of local and remote sites. Prior to affiliating with Med Assets Inc., Dan was a Facilities Buyer at Penn State University’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center designing and managing complex construction and renovation procurement processes. As Director of Materials Management at a number of facilities, Dan continuously provided supply expense reduction initiatives for medical supplies, capital equipment, and services through GPO initiatives as well as facility and IDN negotiated initiatives. Dan attributes all of his financial successes with the development of key staff, clinical and physician relationships at these facilities.

I worked closely with GPO’s, MDBuline/ECRI to obtained best value, including Service Agreements at the time of acquisition. I managed the cut-sheets, PO’s and delivery for all projects (i.e. New Stand –alone ASC and Cancer Center) By establishing specific criteria I designed Capital Budget Processes that provided Administrators with clear methods to determine a final budgets. (i.e. Replacement, Cost, Mission, Critical) I designed a competitive bid processes for obtaining hourly rate for all contractors. Facilities Management were then able to pull various contractors in for projects under $50,000.
