The professional:
An experienced Credit, Operational Risk & Project Manager with more than five years banking
industry experience. My career began as a credit analyst at Le Credit Lyonnais in Bordeaux; I have
since progressed to be a highly skilled credit and operational risk manager with in-depth knowledge
in capital management and banking regulation within Societe Generale Johannesburg in South Africa.
Solutions-driven and theory put into practice:
Brings new ideas and fresh ways of thinking to the organisation to reach its goals; through managing
change I provide solutions at all levels. My skill set and individual traits have provided a platform to
exercise my ingenuity to tackle multiple projects and taking decisions on the basis of business growth
in a challenging regulatory environment. My natural in-depth analysis helps in providing tailored
solutions when tackling different projects.
Achievements:
 Successfully implementing Advanced Internal Rating Based approach (AIRB) within SG
Johannesburg. This entailed preparing an application file explaining models and processes
used within Head Office in efforts to meet local regulation, South African Reserve Bank (SARB)
requirements, completing and submitting the AIRB schedules, training local staff, performing
parallel run reporting and exchanging various information with SARB. This considerably
improved the Branch Capital Adequacy Ratio.
 Successfully conducting yearly Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) within
SG Johannesburg from 2012 to 2015 in order to optimise capital management.
 Preparing and implementing Basel III regulation within SG Johannesburg: Capital Adequacy
Ratio, Leverage Ratio, Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR),
Operational deposit modelling and Credit Value Adjustment on market transactions.
 Contributing in convincing Head-Office and the local regulator to run a managed liquidity gap
to optimise profits through Asset Liquidity Management: Modelling deposits and negotiable
certificates of deposits (NCDs) within the Branch and with Head-Office assistance.
 Improving Risk Management culture and processes by developing, reviewing and updating all
risk and capital management policies and procedures within the SG South African Branch.
 Successfully defined the basis for stress testing within SG Johannesburg for both regulatory
and management purposes.
Current Engagement:
Currently preparing the Branch for Advanced Measurement Approach (AMA) adoption for operational
risk and assisting the investment banking division in Head-Office in setting structures to sell cross-
currency swaps and structured deposits through the South African Branch.
