PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Summary:
Joined Everest Re Group in Brussels in January 2006 both as Area Manager for South-Eastern Europe, extended
to Nordics (2010-2012) and Italy/Malta (since 2012), and Specialty Manager for Casualty & Motor business in
Continental Europe. Promoted to status of Director and Member of the strategic Committee for New Business
Development within European entities of Everest Re in 2013. Moved as part of the core team to Everest Re
Zurich (Switzerland) in March 2015.
Prior to joining the group, spent seven years as a reinsurance underwriter at SAFR/Partner Re in Paris (4 years)
and in Zurich (3 years) and then strengthened his international profile as a Senior Member of the Production &
Marketing team of leading brokerage groups in London for four years (Heath Lambert and Willis Re as part of
team moving).
The wide knowledge of the continental European markets, Russia and CIS countries, Arabic-speaking areas
(especially North Africa) has led to contributions to several conferences and publications for EU consulting
(Russia), insurance and reinsurance projects in the region (Kazakhstan, Greece, Romania, Azerbaijan, Serbia).
Expertise also extends to providing all forms of solutions for Clients on their Bond, Property/Catastrophe,
especially Liability/Casualty accounts and Motor structured deals.
Graduated from the three-year Durham Business School MBA programme, studied at the Insurance Institute of
Paris-Sorbonne, and obtained Advanced Degrees in Insurance Law (Paris), in Commercial and Industrial
Agreements (Montpellier) and in European Law in Germany (Erlangen). Also passed the exams leading to a
qualification as a Lawyer in France and attended the INSEAD Advanced Negotiations Skills Seminar.
Speaks ten languages, among which French, Italian, English and German (fluent), Greek (excellent), Spanish
(very good command), good command of Arabic and Russian (respectively succeeded in European A2 and B1
exams in Belgium) and has an intermediate level (working knowledge) of Dutch & Romanian.

Development (Europe), Area Manager & Senior Underwriter (all Non-Life Treaty Lines) for
Continental Europe on one hand, and Continental European Treaty Casualty Manager on the
other hand
• Renewal 2015 : wrote two Solvency II treaty « big deals » in Europe totalling EUR 55mio for our share ;
overall production combined after 1.1.2014 and at 1.1.2015 equalled to EUR 66.1mio and is within
profitability targets (see enclosed details)
• Updated Technical Underwriting Performance 2007-2015 at 30.6.2015 based on internal IRIS statistics
excluding IBNR & Expenses
Premium: EUR 151.510mio (existing & new business)
New business: 132mio
Balance: EUR 40.385mio

• Concluded major “big deals” during the period 2007-2014: 1st
year: new profitable business of $4.5mio in Europe,
and new European Casualty revenue of $5mio; subsequent years: concluded every year one new big deal in
Continental Europe with premium over $15mio each in 2008 & 2009, $5mio in 2010, $ 2.5mio in 2011, $ 3mio in
2013, $5mio in 2014, strengthened the basis of medium-sized clients in Continental Europe, Russia & CIS
countries, and achieved casualty development (mainly on non-proportional basis) in accordance with budget plan,
marketing strategy and benefit targets
• Currently managing a portfolio of circa EUR 40mio premium (European Casualty, other Non-Life treaty business
in Southern Europe and CEE) and advisor to Arabic-speaking countries (the risk carrier is domiciled in the USA)
• Solvency II Project Manager at Everest Re for Continental Europe (Business Opportunities, Reinsurance
Directive)
• Legal / Slip & Wording Manager at Everest Re in Continental Europe, reporting to Legal and Contractual
Wording Dept in New Jersey (USA): for instance, compulsory internal referral and approval for new clauses, new
wordings in Europe, wording audit in Europe etc
• Developed Liability business plan and marketing strategy in Continental Europe within Everest Re group, created
measurable performance indicators for the team aligned to shared targets and implemented underwriting process
improvement initiatives within the team to maximize operational productivity (e.g. managing approval process of
the business inquiries or consolidating the 6 former separate Casualty business units into a newly consolidated and
single system, pricing tools) and customer satisfaction (e.g. reduced process cycle time of Casualty slips and
wordings – especially those in foreign language – and monitoring client review/feedback on our response time and
satisfaction)
• Specialized technically on Liability/Casualty Underwriting
• Wide knowledge of P&C pricing tools since each underwriter is quoting the business at Everest Re Group –
particular emphasis on Casualty quoting & aggregate monitoring methods.
• Pricing of proportional treaties (P&C) as well as non proportional business, in particular excess of loss for the
following lines of business: Catastrophe, Property per risk, Liability/Casualty, Motor Hull, Motor Third Party
Liability, Bond. Stop loss pricing in exceptional cases (Medical Malpractice).
• Successful experience of Bond underwriting (brought 4 new profitable clients located in Western and Eastern
Europe during renewal seasons 2006 and 2007)
• Conducted several Liability risk and claims audits (GTP, PI, D&O) for clients in Continental Europe (3 each on
average per annum since inception)
• Underwriting and tailored monitoring of the “big deal” accounts brought at Everest Re Group
• Business Presentation on Reinsurance Casualty Outlook in the Caucasus Region (AIIF Conference, Baku,

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Summary: Joined Everest Re Group in Brussels in January 2006 both as Area Manager for South-Eastern Europe, extended to Nordics (2010-2012) and Italy/Malta (since 2012), and Specialty Manager for Casualty & Motor business in Continental Europe. Promoted to status of Director and Member of the strategic Committee for New Business Development within European entities of Everest Re in 2013. Moved as part of the core team to Everest Re Zurich (Switzerland) in March 2015. Prior to joining the group, spent seven years as a reinsurance underwriter at SAFR/Partner Re in Paris (4 years) and in Zurich (3 years) and then strengthened his international profile as a Senior Member of the Production & Marketing team of leading brokerage groups in London for four years (Heath Lambert and Willis Re as part of team moving). The wide knowledge of the continental European markets, Russia and CIS countries, Arabic-speaking areas (especially North Africa) has led to contributions to several conferences and publications for EU consulting (Russia), insurance and reinsurance projects in the region (Kazakhstan, Greece, Romania, Azerbaijan, Serbia). Expertise also extends to providing all forms of solutions for Clients on their Bond, Property/Catastrophe, especially Liability/Casualty accounts and Motor structured deals. Graduated from the three-year Durham Business School MBA programme, studied at the Insurance Institute of Paris-Sorbonne, and obtained Advanced Degrees in Insurance Law (Paris), in Commercial and Industrial Agreements (Montpellier) and in European Law in Germany (Erlangen). Also passed the exams leading to a qualification as a Lawyer in France and attended the INSEAD Advanced Negotiations Skills Seminar. Speaks ten languages, among which French, Italian, English and German (fluent), Greek (excellent), Spanish (very good command), good command of Arabic and Russian (respectively succeeded in European A2 and B1 exams in Belgium) and has an intermediate level (working knowledge) of Dutch & Romanian. 1

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Since January 2006 Everest Re Group, Zurich : Director, Member of the Strategic Committee of New Business Development (Europe), Area Manager & Senior Underwriter (all Non-Life Treaty Lines) for Continental Europe on one hand, and Continental European Treaty Casualty Manager on the other hand • Renewal 2015 : wrote two Solvency II treaty « big deals » in Europe totalling EUR 55mio for our share ; overall production combined after 1.1.2014 and at 1.1.2015 equalled to EUR 66.1mio and is within profitability targets (see enclosed details) • Updated Technical Underwriting Performance 2007-2015 at 30.6.2015 based on internal IRIS statistics excluding IBNR & Expenses Premium: EUR 151.510mio (existing & new business) New business: 132mio Balance: EUR 40.385mio TCR: 73.31% • Technical Underwriting Performance 2007-2014 (being part of internal appraisal on January 29, 2014) : Basis : Earned booked premium New Premium production : EUR 85,9Mio « Real » Total Combined Ratio (TCR) excluding IBNR and Overheads : 54.73% « Real » TCR excluding IBNR but including Overheads : 58.77% TCR including IBNR and excluding Overheads : 72.47% TCR including both IBNR and Overheads : 76.51% Total New Business Production since inception including 2014 Renewal accounted for EUR 92,9mio (i.e. over $120mio at ROE 1/1/2014) while fully meeting internal profitability requirements. 58 new clients (written for the first time) accounted for Everest Re (see enclosed details). In addition : • Concluded major “big deals” during the period 2007-2014: 1st year: new profitable business of $4.5mio in Europe, and new European Casualty revenue of $5mio; subsequent years: concluded every year one new big deal in Continental Europe with premium over $15mio each in 2008 & 2009, $5mio in 2010, $ 2.5mio in 2011, $ 3mio in 2013, $5mio in 2014, strengthened the basis of medium-sized clients in Continental Europe, Russia & CIS countries, and achieved casualty development (mainly on non-proportional basis) in accordance with budget plan, marketing strategy and benefit targets • Currently managing a portfolio of circa EUR 40mio premium (European Casualty, other Non-Life treaty business in Southern Europe and CEE) and advisor to Arabic-speaking countries (the risk carrier is domiciled in the USA) • Solvency II Project Manager at Everest Re for Continental Europe (Business Opportunities, Reinsurance Directive) • Legal / Slip & Wording Manager at Everest Re in Continental Europe, reporting to Legal and Contractual Wording Dept in New Jersey (USA): for instance, compulsory internal referral and approval for new clauses, new wordings in Europe, wording audit in Europe etc • Developed Liability business plan and marketing strategy in Continental Europe within Everest Re group, created measurable performance indicators for the team aligned to shared targets and implemented underwriting process improvement initiatives within the team to maximize operational productivity (e.g. managing approval process of the business inquiries or consolidating the 6 former separate Casualty business units into a newly consolidated and single system, pricing tools) and customer satisfaction (e.g. reduced process cycle time of Casualty slips and wordings – especially those in foreign language – and monitoring client review/feedback on our response time and satisfaction) • Specialized technically on Liability/Casualty Underwriting • Wide knowledge of P&C pricing tools since each underwriter is quoting the business at Everest Re Group – particular emphasis on Casualty quoting & aggregate monitoring methods. • Pricing of proportional treaties (P&C) as well as non proportional business, in particular excess of loss for the following lines of business: Catastrophe, Property per risk, Liability/Casualty, Motor Hull, Motor Third Party Liability, Bond.
