The document discusses the Catholic sacrament of reconciliation (also known as confession or penance). It describes reconciliation as a process involving three key stages: 1) conversion, which involves recognizing one's sins and deciding to change, 2) confession, which externalizes the internal conversion by admitting sins to a priest, and 3) celebration, in which forgiveness and restoration of relationship with God is received. The parable of the prodigal son is used to illustrate that God eagerly forgives through love and mercy upon seeing one's desire to return, prior to any confession.
This document summarizes important Marian feasts and devotions in the Catholic liturgical calendar. It describes the different classifications of celebrations (solemnities, feasts, memorials) and provides details about specific Marian solemnities, feasts, and memorials honored on different dates, including the Assumption, Queenship of Mary, Birth of Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, Rosary, Immaculate Conception, and Our Lady of Guadalupe. The summaries of each commemoration include relevant biblical references, historical background, and theological or spiritual significance.
The document discusses the threats to the environment such as rising sea levels, continued warming even if fossil fuel use is reduced, illegal logging, pollution, loss of species, overfishing, and urbanization. It emphasizes that humans have a God-given duty to protect nature and lists 10 commandments for the environment including respecting ecology in development policies, changing lifestyles to be more moderate and self-controlled, and the spiritual obligation to care for what God created. Specific recommendations are made such as properly disposing of waste, following the 4Rs of reduce, reuse, recycle, repair, planting trees, obeying laws, and living simply.

Mary is presented as the perfect model of faith. She demonstrates a life of faithful obedience to God's will from the Annunciation to the crucifixion of Jesus. Her faith was not static but grew as she witnessed the fulfillment of God's plan. As the mother of Jesus and the Mother of God, Mary is exalted as the prime example for believers to imitate in living their faith through obedience, humility, and devotion to God in both words and actions.
Diversion refers to an alternative process for handling children in conflict with the law without resorting to formal court proceedings. It involves determining responsibility and treatment based on the child's background through informal means like mediation or community programs. Children eligible for diversion must be 15-18, acted with discernment, and are accused of offenses with imprisonment of 6-12 years. Diversion can occur at the barangay, police, or prosecutor level for lesser offenses, and in court for more serious offenses. It involves convening relevant parties to identify appropriate programs for the child, and drafting a contract outlining the program and responsibilities of all parties which the child must complete to conclude the diversion process.
Teen pregnancy brings many emotional challenges and life changes. It can cause feelings of shame, stress, and depression in the young mother. Their options may differ depending on their situation. A teen pregnancy requires them to grow up quickly and take on adult responsibilities. It affects their social life, education, and relationship with family and friends. While many stereotypes exist about teen parents, with support they can overcome obstacles and become successful parents. Proper prenatal care and learning parenting skills are important to have a healthy pregnancy and care for the child.
This document discusses God's revelation to humanity through various means. It begins by explaining that God introduced Himself to initiate a relationship with humanity. God reveals Himself through both natural means like creation which shows His power and design, and supernatural means like prophets and scripture. The fullest revelation is through Jesus Christ, who reveals God and humanity. God continues to speak through the Church. God's revelation is contained in both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, which the Church teaches. In response, we affirm our faith in God's revelations through the Apostles' Creed.
In this lesson we examine the sacrifices that please God and what will not please Him. We ask and answer does God still require sacrifices from us today? Both slides and audio can be found together at www.cmcoc.org

Louise de Marillac exemplified collaborative leadership through her work establishing organizations to serve the poor in 17th century France. She drew on talents from her aristocratic upbringing to motivate others and negotiate with authorities, and on experiences with illness and rejection to empathize with those suffering. As a leader, Louise focused on spiritual formation, modeled collaboration between social classes and organizations, and mentored others through gentle persuasion rather than demanding obedience. She faced challenges creatively by turning problems into opportunities and encouraging perseverance in her vision of serving all people with dignity.

Collaboration of Sts. Louise de Marillac and Vincent de Paul: Differing Personalities Brought Together According to God’s Plan. From an article by S. Louise Sullivan, DC.
The document discusses medical knowledge and treatment in 17th century France when St. Louise de Marillac lived. At this time, the predominant medical theory was that of the four humors - blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile. It was believed illness was caused by an imbalance of the humors. Common treatments recommended by St. Louise included bloodletting and purging to restore balance. They did not yet understand concepts like blood circulation or bacteria. The document examines illness issues St. Louise addressed in her letters and how she provided spiritual, human, and material support to the sick along with training sisters. It provides some examples of medical remedies she suggested.

She compares them to the three vows of religious life and explains how they can be offered to the Blessed Trinity. St. Vincent encourages remaining peacefully in God's presence like a poor person showing their needs. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton likens each day to a ring to be engraved with good actions. Fr. Robert Maloney's letter discusses renovating one's inner dwelling for God during Lent through channeling energy used for riches and pleasures toward building a new person and refuge for the poor.
This month we celebrate the feast of the Holy Eucharist, Corpus Christi, and we want to renew our desire to receive our Lord and to be close to Him. In some countries, lockdowns are lifting and we are able to attend Mass and to visit our Lord in the Tabernacle on behalf of those still waiting. This is a time — like all times — to thank God for so many things that we normally take for granted and to pray for one another.

This is a collection of some of the best writings on the issue of prayer to the Holy Spirit. He is God and so it is valid to offer prayer to the third Person of the Godhead. Catholics have far more prayers to the Spirit, but Protestants are getting into the experience of worship of the Holy Spirit. Prayers to Him acknowledge that you accept Him as God and as an equal member of the Trinity.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

and desirous of serving God
should place their trust in
the coming of the Holy Spirit
within them believing that,
finding no resistance in
them, He will give them the
disposition necessary to
accomplish the holy will of
God which should be their
only preoccupation.”

The awareness of the dignity of
this most Holy Sacrament should
make us realize our powerlessness
to prepare adequately to receive
Him. Thus, we must turn to… the
Holy Spirit, who furnished this
gift, and beg Him to come into
our hearts and to fill them with
the dispositions necessary to
honor the presence of such a
Lord.

St.Louise
Daily Quote
It would be well if every morning
each sister would individually pray…
for the blessing of our good God in
order that they might act in the
manner of His Son while He was on
earth as they carry out the works of
charity to which they have been
called. Better yet, they should pray
that the same Spirit that acted in
Him should act through them.

St.Louise
Daily Quote
It seemed to me that in order to be
faithful to God we must live in great
union with one another. Since the Holy
Spirit is the union of the Father and
the Son, the life which we have freely
undertaken must be lived in this great
union of hearts. This will prevent us
from becoming annoyed by the actions
of others and enable us to bear with
one another and to live together with
cordiality and gentleness.
